You still fail to accept that even if hired, he would be given the Tomlin playbook and told to make it work.I’m shocked at this! Geez! He’s a very good OC.He worked very well with Stroud. Came from Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers staff.
I’d take him over Artieball any day. He would be a very big component to Justin’s development if they decide to keep Justin.
That’s where Art needs to step in and tell Tomlin to allow his OC to run his offense: if not we’re all just chasing our tails. You still fail to accept that even if hired, he would be given the Tomlin playbook and told to make it work.
AGAIN, why would you keep a Head Coach but strip them of duties? That’s where Art needs to step in and tell Tomlin to allow his OC to run his offense: if not we’re all just chasing our tails.
Art has got to make Tomlin understand that this archaic style offense simply doesn’t work in the league any longer.
If Art continues with the status quo then there is no hope. The franchise will remain stagnant and dying.
I think it is a novel idea. Just don’t think Rooney would implement it and Mike’s ego wouldn’t allow it.Stop being condescending please. I do not need to be told “again”.
Now to answer you, the owner is not stripping the HC of his duties. I’m advocating for Art to tell Tomlin to allow his OC to run his offense.
Your best the HC’s allow for their coordinators to do their jobs but there are exceptions.
Andy Reid calls the plays in KC but he’s never going to be confused with Tomlin.
Campbell in Detroit allows Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn to run their offense and defense respectively.
Unless Rooney convinces Tomlin that it is Tomlin's idea....on both sides of the ball.I think it is a novel idea. Just don’t think Rooney would implement it and Mike’s ego wouldn’t allow it.
Don’t tease. They also fired their OL coach and assistant OL coach.
Tomlin, that's how you make major changes.

Well, we all know the offense needs opened up but unfortunately Rooney allows Tomlin to do whatever he wants even though it doesn’t work.Would the designated “need to change” allow the more open offense? Would He be allowed to apply his trade to the on field of play.?
I don’t want to sound like a broken record but, sometimes it just needs to be said.
Salute the nation
Not being condescending, just a simple questionStop being condescending please. I do not need to be told “again”.
You make no sense with this answer. You say the owner is not stripping the HC of his duties, then say he should strip him of his duty to lead the team as far as the OC is concerned. If the HC is not doing what you think needs to be done, you replace him, not remove duties. Now to answer you, the owner is not stripping the HC of his duties. The head coach is hired to run the team as it pertains to assistant coaches, philosophy, game planning and execution. I would have to know who/what you consider a successful exception.Your best the HC’s allow for their coordinators to do their jobs but there are exceptions.
I am not against a HC calling the plays directly, and never said I was.Andy Reid calls the plays in KC but he’s never going to be confused with Tomlin.
Every good leader I have ever been associated with does this, as there is not enough time to do everything themselves. In most cases those leaders don’t even have a clue how to do the other jobs themselves.Campbell in Detroit allows Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn to run their offense and defense respectively.
Demeco and the Texans are trying to break through the first round of the playoffs and become a legit SB contender, an admirable trait for a HC and a franchiseThey also fired their OL coach and assistant OL coach.

I simply don’t think you and I will ever agree. MT-Forged pretty much says it all for me. You keep supporting and defending this fraud of a coach and see where that gets this organization. Not being condescending, just a simple question

Tomlin is NOT that kind of a leader, and it is why he has reached his ceiling of slightly above average.
