Bobby Slowik

Demeco has ice running through his veins. Was impressed with how calm and cool he was on the sidelines as his kicker ended his season missing multiple kicks.
kicking a 55 yd FG in near whiteout conditions in a close playoff game is a fireable offense. I remember saying whoever called that should be fired.

So do we bring slowy Bobby or not?

I simply don’t think you and I will ever agree.
I can accept that we disagree, even though not as much as you think.
MT-Forged pretty much says it all for me. You keep supporting and defending this fraud of a coach and see where that gets this organization.
The guy cannot build a championship football team. He’s been chief architect for years and this is as good as it gets.
He cannot hire quality coaches and coordinators.
Let’s keep giving him new contracts and raises and expect things to change.
For me that means that the HC needs to be replaced, period, end of story. I simply do not agree with keeping said HC and then DICTATING the changes he will make, and the aspects of the job he will no longer be allowed to direct. When you have a "Lame Duck" manager, it just creates many more problems in the rest of the organization.

I understand that you are accepting the fact that the HC will NOT be replaced and are trying to rationalize a way to still make some kind of success of the situation. This is why I don't think we are in as much disagreement as you think. I do NOT believe that you are a Tomlin apologist.

I’ll make this as simple as possible. The HC is not going to be replaced which I think the entire universe can agree with, so what I’m saying some parameters need to be set. Will they be set, most likely no, they will not be but imo these are things I would do and wish Art would do.
Allow Arthur Smith to run his offense and call the plays. If he fails, replace him.
Take a look at the recent available Bobby Slowik the OC in Houston. See if you can bring him in as a QB Coach/Passing Coordinator.
Re-sign Justin as our QB and let Bobby work with him. He did a nice job here with CJ Stroud.
Fire Ron Meyer as OL Coach and try and rehire Mike Munchack if he’s interested.
Fire Terrell Austin who was terrible in Detroit and Cincinnati and have the conversation with Tomlin you want a DC to run his defense. They missed out on Robert Saleigh who just signed as the Niners DC and that’s a a big mistake to not bring him in.
Find the best guy out there to come in and run the defense and allow him to do so.
The HC can allow his coordinators to do their jobs and still be the HC. Andy allows Steve Spagnola to run his defense in KC. Vic Fangio is allowed to run his defense in Philadelphia so the same needs to be done here. It’s clearly not working with Tomlin running the defense here. The only distinction this Tomlin run defense is noted for….Its the highest paid.
Now, with all that being said, keeping mind this is what I think should happen but Art Rooney II will not do one of the things I mentioned. He will allow his arrogant, stubborn HC to keep doing what’s he’s been doing because Art appears to be satisfied with non losing seasons and sneaking into the playoffs only to be outclassed and thoroughly beat down by superior organizations.
My angst is not so much with the arrogant, stubborn Tomlin but with Art who facilitates this incompetence and continues to allow it.
So nothing will change that’s my point but I offered up what a competent owner should and would do if he wanted to keep this HC which he obviously does. In actuality a competent owner would have already moved on from this fraud.

As I said in the bolded part. I agree that it is not likely to happen.

Not a Mike Tomlin trait. He expects them to run HIS offense, as has been shown by the last 4-5 OC's running the same Offense

Don't really see how this helps, see above
Re-sign Justin as our QB and let Bobby work with him. He did a nice job here with CJ Stroud.
I happen to agree that Fields seems to be the best option for 25. Would he be an upgrade to the guy doing that now? Not sure, as they would still be required to work within the same O.
Fire Ron Meyer as OL Coach and try and rehire Mike Munchack if he’s interested.
AGREED, Meyer should have been gone last year. I can't see Munchack returning, as I believe he left for a reason the first time, and nothing has changed since then
Fire Terrell Austin who was terrible in Detroit and Cincinnati and have the conversation with Tomlin you want a DC to run his defense. They missed out on Robert Saleigh who just signed as the Niners DC and that’s a a big mistake to not bring him in.

Agreed, but again the same issues on O are even more present in the Defense

He could, and possibly even be slightly better at HC then he is now (maybe move to a solid "B" Head Coach), but that is not how he is wired.

It's all about the money now days, and it is still rolling in.
