This sounds more like Trump implying the judge recuse himself.

And if you don't know the meaning of recuse...Generally, a judge must recuse himself if he has a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party to the lawsuit ....

Curiel, it should be noted, is an American citizen who was born in Indiana. And as a prosecutor in the late 1990s, he went after Mexican drug cartels, making him a target for assassination by a Tijuana drug lord.

I would venture to say that Trump wasn't aware that the judge was born in Indiana and had the stellar record that he did....call Trump ignorant but that doesn't make him a racist.

I live in a diverse neighborhood and most of the residents on the block are great people. Last night about 10 families on the block gathered outside just to socialize and drink, not necessarily in that order. One fellow, who is Hispanic, was talking about starting a new job as an appraiser in a body shop. He said 90% of those in the shop were Hispanic. Go figure, it's Arizona. He made the point that everyone there was legal, and the fact that so many are pouring over the border pisses them off to no end, and everyone else he knows feels the same. I'm not sure if Elfiero is Hispanic or not, but who are those that are so offended that the federal government may actually enforce laws that already exist? From my small, unscientific sample, it's not those here legally.
