Another website not to be shared, reported that Jones has been placed on IR with a neck injury. Originally stated that it was a stinger. If you can re watch
the replay of it,, It wasnt an historically accurate mechanics of a stinger type injury.
I think this is serious. Maybe a stenosis type diagnosis.
They elevated Assante Jamuel jr. to the 53 in his place. Ironically who underwent spinal fusion last year.

I knew coming into the season that the other Anderson wasnt great. And now Andrus Peat has leap frogged him into the starting roster.
As volitile as Jones is/was. We better hope Peat can re-kindle some of that pro bowl form of yesteryear in his stead.

Good question! Idk what the hell they would be thinking about the fifth year option on Broderick Jones.
He started to play better as this season wears on but could go either way with this one.
Would like to see Broderick with a competent OL Coach. Could make a world of difference.

The logical move is to put Peat at LT. Anderson is a swing tackle and MUCH NEEDED as that extra large TE in 13 personnel.

I see a couple of sites stating Jones has been IRd; but nothing of reputable credit IMO...

I mentioned this in another thread after the game, but I still haven't seen a replay of the play he got hurt on. The play was over, and the D player jumped in the air and grabbed Jones by the helmet area and pulled down his head. He came up injured. No penalty was called, and I doubt a fine has happened. Did anyone else notice that play? Was I way off, or might there be something there? It was a deliberate move by the D player, whatever it was.

Whatever it was - it was Coach Tomlin's fault I'm sure!!!

Tomlin is a good coach, not great -- who benefited greatly from Dan, Cowher and LeBeau, and Big Ben --- who has underperformed for a decade, but he doesn't cause player injuries.....he causes TV and liver damage and allowing a generation of Steeler youth to gain interest in other teams. That is a sin I cannot forget.

I see what you did there...

Still an avid supporter huh?

I think you have a different outlook for college in comparison to pros. No way would you let Alabama have the playoff futility of the Steelers and still want that HC to stick around.

We can all root for who we wish but I actually want a HC that is capable of winning significant accomplishments. He is 100 percent not trending in that direction. It isn’t like one of the two mentioned hasn’t had plenty of time to see which way he is trending.

Here and there Berm I see you have these !! -related Mike Tomlin comments. Just not sure he is deserving less blame in the grand scheme of his obvious short comings.

Seriously say a topic revolves around debating what degree of blame he is deserving.

We know the man is responsible for what coordinators he brings in, what schematics approaches he prefers, the players he signs off on, playoff success or futility, game adjustments, etc.

If all this is slacking the few things he might be a certain degree less responsible for really doesn’t matter.

If you have a product and it is defective, deficient do you hold onto it and bark at all the things you like about it, or do you replace it with a model that isn’t defective, and deficient.

We know the only answer is you replace it as you aren’t buying a product to partially work. You want one that accomplishes the task at hand.

There is absolutely positively no evidence that shows our product isn’t deficient, defective.

So it puzzles me why you throw digs at fans who want a product capable of accomplishing its main tasks. Its most important tasks, which include playoff victories not playoff futility. If you even had that I might understand the !!!!

I am not sure he is a good coach. My thinking is a good coach could trip over a playoff victory here and there. This product is broken.

No I'm not but we cannot do anything about it...
Not being able to do nothing about it is different than supporting him day in and day out. Speaking up when he does good and being a church mouse when he isn’t. I think that is a fair assessment based on posts. Would love to see !!! When he throws out embarrassing game losses and an unwilling to change outdated schematics that just simply end badly. Like season ending badly.

It is one thing to end competitively that is one thing.

The Steelers seasons more than not end badly.

Just not acceptable.

When I saw it live it seemed like the defender jumped forward and bro speared himself up, head first towards the falling DL

Last good ending to a season, arguably, was the SB with GB when they had multiple DBs injured, the Steelers had a HoF QB and decided on a ground attack.

Great coaching, eh?

Meh, I give him his credit when it's do and criticize him when I feel the need to. I just choose not to dwell on it WEEK IN and WEEK OUT...

Competent OL coach,………… preaching to the choir my friend.

Salute the nation

They might offer him a 2 year deal with an easy out after the 1st and a loaded 2nd year, sort of a prove it deal
If I am him I only take a one year deal....if he is healthy. If he has issues then maybe a 2 year deal. Wouldn't be smart signing a 2 year deal if he is healthy. My opinion.

I have not said this in a while...Tomlin Sucks.... and a big **** you to Rooney for keeping him around. I should be good until after the game now...hopefully.

He would have the option too

it is rare to see you criticize, but common to see the digs you throw out in his defense.

You do you but at least know that is how it looks..
