She was beginning what seemed to be very legitimate question. Same one asked of any HC in his position. Same one Belichik avoided at nauseum last weekend and he walked out. Didn't Mike have a nasty exchange with Aditi one time? Seems like Pitt beat writers need to check their sacks because only women ask tough questions.

The thing last week with the depth chart I thought was a lot to do about nothing. Who cares about a paper depth chart? What matters is who is on the field. But his display yesterday? Also, if true he is trying to squeeze the Steelers? C'mon, man. Look, I have been a bit more cautious about changing the head coach than many here, for various reasons, but that is bullshiit. His results do not merit what he is doing.

I'm gonna say something here I may get ripped for. I have avoided it, but with the defensive MVP race seemingly decided on, and Takeo Spikes saying the Watt is a victim of the "politics of the NFL," it really is the main reason I have been hesitant about a coaching change. Also, in looking at the results of some of these white, pajama boy supposed genius head coaching hires that flame out in a few years because they lack credibility and respect in the locker rooms...those things have played a big part in my hesitancy. Politics are changing, I think Spikes is right. I don't think a lot of young African-American players respect these young white coaches. Who says they should? Did they really earn their positions? In the old days you built a resume...these guys coach an offense for a year and boom! I know that was Tomlin as well, but his pigment makes it different. Players respect him, if they don't they look like assses.

If the Steelers make a coaching change, they have to get someone that gets instant respect in the locker room, especially if it's a white guy. A guy like Vrabel with his playing career has credibility. I look at the shiitshow that is Philly and LA, the New Orleans players totally disrespecting their lilly head coach. This is where we are at. I think it is important to be honest about it.

Totally agree with these new "pajama boy" coaches..,..,I think they learned the game on Madden..
If I was a player...black or white or brown or whatever color I am that day ;) ......I would have little respect for them also..
Its a fad and will disappear..

Also--if Tomlin is out, and I think he is for whatever reason...
I would welcome Mike Vrabel with open arms.

I personally wouldn't have asked it until the last press conference of the year, but Tomlin easily could've said anything to deflect the question. It was fair considering it's mostly likely his agent leaking this story to the national reporters.

Was that the entire postgame Press Conference by Tomlin?

I don’t think that was the time to ask that question.

She knew exactly what she was doing when she asked it. Just like the depth chart question the week before. Pouncing on clickbait scoops. It’s what ESPN does now. Hell, she didn’t wait two minutes before she posted it to Twitter/X. Read the room Brooke, you know Tomlin only answers game questions during game pressers. Been that way ever since Cowher.

Siriano was asked the same thing last night, he didn't bolt, they asked Belicheck after his final game, he sat there and answered it, very bad look for Tomlin, especially from the guy that says we do not hide from our tape, we don't run from challenges we run to them and any other thing he's spewed.

Again, if there's any truth to the story it's coming from Tomlin's camp and it was really the only tough question of the press conference. I already said I wouldn't have asked it last night, but he could've just answered the question.

The lack of respect for Tomlin has been evident for a decade. From Brown to Pickens, they don't give a crap about the wrath of Tomlin because THERE IS NONE. He's a cheerleader and a buddy. Bradshaw had it right. I think it's imporant to be honest about it.

LOL Tomlin ran from adversity, not to it. Guy's a typical lefty hypocrite.

I agree, but he handled it poorly. Just dismiss it. Rudolph handled himself like a pro when asked about his future with the team.
Here exactly. The players are asked exceedingly difficult questions every game.
As per player respect. The players respect whoever makes them better to showcase, win and make more $. I wouldn't want a video game guy but couod live with the HC being able to use scheme to beat a defense and get guys open. Leave the defense to a Vrabel type. His skin color can be magenta. I don't give a ****.

What is more damning in my opinion is what Harris stated. Here you have a young man trying to be a leader in the locker room in the facility and when he took his issues to Tomlin he was brushed off and told just be a RB. Harris wants to get to the next level as a team. As an organization. I think he realizes now that will never happen with Tomlin running the show.

This. I've had issues with some of his output. But not his desire to win.

I think he wants to win, but knowing that Tomlin expects the players to hold each other to a certain standard, I wish he'd hold his teammates to that standard rather than talking to the media about it after the fact.

Sean McVay has done alright for himself. Although he was a tight end coach for four years and and OC for another three before he got the job with the Rams at age 31.

You think that George Pickens has respect for Tomlin? With his ongoing displays of petulance? How about DJ? These are the kinds of talented but troubled players that head coaches get paid to mollify. Ten+ years ago, Tomiln was able to get the job done with AB for a while. Once the social media bullshit during the locker room speech started the AB avalanche, I think that player respect for Tomlin was carried right away with it.

I don't understand people that feel the need to cram politics into EVERYTHING.
Turn off the news and live you mf life
I agree, politics has no place in sports, but unfortunately its seeped into every aspect of life.
It does however have nothing to do with Tomlin's coaching abilities, or lack thereof.
