Brooke Pryor exchange

LOL Tomlin ran from adversity, not to it. Guy's a typical lefty hypocrite.
NFL has become very political. Art II is very political.
It’s not that Tomlin is a great coach because he simply is not one. He’s a mediocre coach who happens to be a minority.
There are no other black head coaches that the media can hoist on its shoulders so they’ve rallied around the meaningless 17 non losing seasons.
They do t mention the three 8-8 seasons or the 8-10 playoff record or seven straight seasons without a playoff win.
With that non losing record he’s most likely a HOF inductee and will join the last successful black HC, Tony Dungy.
It’s strictly political in today’s world and fits the narrative of today’s politics.
Again, Tomlin is not a bad coach he’s a mediocre coach but the politics of today have elevated him beyond what his accomplishments have produced on the field.

If they don’t respect you or play their best for you are the coach, YOU GET RID OF THEM!!!! Eff the mentality that players run the show!!!

Sean McVay has done alright for himself. Although he was a tight end coach for four years and and OC for another three before he got the job with the Rams at age 31.

You think that George Pickens has respect for Tomlin? With his ongoing displays of petulance? How about DJ? These are the kinds of talented but troubled players that head coaches get paid to mollify. Ten+ years ago, Tomiln was able to get the job done with AB for a while. Once the social media bullshit during the locker room speech started the AB avalanche, I think that player respect for Tomlin was carried right away with it.
Agreed. McVay has done well for himself. I'm wondering if he is exception rather than the rule. I meant the Chargers situation.

No, I don't really think George Pickens has respect for Tomlin or anyone for that matter. He is a 14 year old head on top of a grown man's body. It's all about him right now. In this case I think it would be far worse if he was somewhere else. It's the level of disrespect.

I think players are like kids in a lot of ways. They actually want structure and discipline, they know inherently they need it. From the comments by Najee, I guess they aren't getting it like they should. That's why Cam Heyward's comments should be taken with in grain of salt in this sense. He is a guy who can discipline himself. He doesn't need a coach to do that. I wonder if he even gets some of these little boys that are in that locker room. I wish all players were like Heyward, but they aren't.

Tomlin's gotta go. But I think they really gotta be careful and thoughtful on the next coach, maybe more so than normal.

All he had to do was say, "No comment. Next question?"
That tells you a lot about his true character and why this team has underachieved during his tenure and acted like spoiled kids at times!!

Siriano was asked the same thing last night, he didn't bolt, they asked Belicheck after his final game, he sat there and answered it, very bad look for Tomlin, especially from the guy that says we do not hide from our tape, we don't run from challenges we run to them and any other thing he's spewed.

That's coach speak bs. They hide from a lot. Like having everyone put in REAL ******* work to be the best.

Talk, talk, talk...doesn't do dick...stupid td dancing and group photos in the endzone doesn't do dick.

Can we get a new script? Is the time up yet on this long ****** run of going absolutely no place.

It's been years and years and years and years and years and years, of saying the same ****.

Fatally flawed.

Tomlin is Barry Switzer with a 13 year extension. Hell, in his 4 years with Dallas, Switzer only has 3 less career playoff wins and the same winning percentage as Cool Shades. Heck Switzer won a Super Bowl with Jimmy Johnson players just like Shades did with Cowher.

What do people think is the window here. I'm thinking if there is no news in the next 4 days he is staying. They would need to get on top of a new hire. Soon.

There should be evidence of team direction, including Tomlin as early as his weekly presser. Did that get moved to Wednesday?

Doesnt the Deuce usually do an end of year "State of the Steelers" presser too?

I fully understand the urgency, but I see 2 weeks, with Tomlin possibly riding it out on his side........ a bit longer.

Salute the nation
