Buffalo

I am tired of the talking heads in the media now all of a sudden hating on Tomlin. I mean where were they 5 years ago? Nothing has changed for a decade now. Same old same old.

I think it has gotten to the point where they have to be more objective about Tomlin to maintain credibility.

The Steelers have not been a serious contender since around 2017 or so.

Though people can cite that period being near the end of Ben's prime as a big reason, it's been six years since he shredded his throwing elbow.

Other coaches have been fired for not being able to settle their QB situation in much less time. I'm not sure what makes Tomlin so special.

The lack of high draft picks excuse only goes so far in a league where we're seeing former highly drafted QBs who were considered busts resurrect their careers with different teams and coaching.

Not that Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold or Daniels Jones would have started realizing their potential with Tomlin's "middle of the field is lava" crap, but it just reflects the impact coaching and scheme can have on the QB position.

Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy are probably forgotten non-1st round picks had they been drafted by the Steelers. They're decent, but largely products of the systems they're in.

will we see MVS or Asante Samuel Jr on the field this week?

I'm thankful we get to see Slay's walker pushed around the field without stumbling on the grass and being dependent upon a Meatchicken WR who's obviously just now getting on that moving train known as our offense.

Flea Flicker is called except this time Warren keeps the ball for a 1 yard loss and Rodgers yells at him again.

Tomlin looks straight ahead through his shades stone faced.

This game would be an awesome win... it would utterly offset the bad bears loss

Its certainly unlikely, but if they could pull it off they would get their one game lead back going into Baltimore... which gives the Steelers some wiggle room.

It certainly would put a ton of Pressure on Baltimore the week after this..

Last I read, the Bills are 3.5 favorites.

Which roughly translates to 6.5 if the game was played on a neutral field or 9.5 if played in Buffalo.

Seems about right, though these are the exact kind of scenarios where the Steelers usually exceed expectations under Tomlin.

It's especially the case at home recently where the defense was expected to give up 30+ points to the Colts and Bengals.

Didn't exactly happen, but despite how well Daniel Jones and Joe Flacco have played, they're not Josh Allen.

Luckily they don’t even have to show up for this contest since the Bungles took care of the Rats.

I’ll be shocked if the Bills don’t do what a team fighting for their playoff spot is supposed to do and dispatch the Steelers with prejudice, would also be shocked if the Steelers don’t do what they usually do in an important game and just crumble.

This one may get ugly enough to allow even the most loyal of fans to stop watching by halftime and get a couple extra hours of non-hostage time Sunday afternoon.

I'll still cheer and dress up like I'm playing the game myself...
