I hate Pittsburgh! - Vontaze Burfict

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict didn’t mince his words when expressing just how he feels about Saturday’s playoff opponent, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Before quickly exiting the locker room following Wednesday’s practice, the controversial player — who already has made himself a villain in the eyes of Steelers fans — not to mention the team’s players — uttered his antagonistic attitude toward the Bengals’ bitter division rivals.

“I hate Pittsburgh,” he said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “It’s not personal. That’s just the way it is.”

Burfict arguably has made a case for being Public Enemy No. 1 among Steelers Nation due to his conduct in the two games played between the squads this season.

Steelers offensive lineman Ramon Foster accused Burfict of purposely trying to injure Le’Veon Bell during a Week 8 game, a 16-10 Bengals victory.

The Steelers also didn’t appreciate how Burfict appeared to celebrate when Bell suffered a torn medial collateral ligament during the game.

Ben Roethlisberger also accused Burfict of intentionally going low on him on a play in an effort to injure him during a Week 14 tilt.

“He definitely was diving in low and going for my legs,” Roethlisberger said after the 33-20 Steelers victory. “It’s tough. I am just glad I didn’t get hurt.”

Nothing ratchets up the bad blood between division rivals like a playoff game. With the teams splitting the season series and tensions running high, the third match-up has all the makings of a bitter battle.

And Burfict’s comments certainly aren’t going to temper the extreme animosity that already exists between the two teams.

Yawn.

If he didn't dive bomb knees I couldn't care less about this thug. I admire his intensity, but dude is a cheat shot waiting to happen. Bungals can say what they want about Kemo but when Carson went down after the hit he looked mortified. When mo thugs and harmony does it, jumps up and does a dance.

What about when Mitchell spears people?

Hate isn't personal? lol.

We have Mitchell, Allen, Shazier, Timmons, Harrison, Heyward, and Tuitt bringing it hard. Not to mention Shamarko, Chickillo, and Ventrone on special teams. The Ben-gals should be the ones shaking in their uggs for this matchup.

Don't make us break out Kimo from retirement!

**** Burfict and his wannabe Terrell Suggs act.

At least I can respect Suggs game and what he brings to the rivalry. This guy just plays dirty and tries to hurt people. That's not worthy of respect at all. **** him. I wish injury on no one but if something happened to his knee or ankle or something, the amount of ***** I would give would be severely low

I assume you are referring to the play where your tight end launches horizontally and the safety ends up hitting him in the side of the helmet while he's trying to tackle him in the legal tackle zone.

Had your tight end not launched forward and simply run through the play, he likely would have gained more yards and perhaps even broken the tackle. Instead he put himself AND the defender in harms way. The defender can hardly change his trajectory mid tackle. Your player has a responsibility to protect himself and others as well. If we've learned anything from Goodell, we've learned that Tight Ends are responsible for protecting themselves and players around them. Ask Heath if a tight end is EVER going to get a call like that.

As for Burfict, how many personal foul penalties did he get in that game again? Who was it that crossed mid-field before the game and initiated an argument?

Clearly YOUR team is the one starting the arguments and contact. You know, everyone else knows it. Deep down the Bengals are soft. That's why you lose every single time you get to the playoffs. Don't be a ***** about it. Man up and grow a pair. You don't have to cheap-shot your way to a victory. Just play. A couple weeks ago the Ravens just flat out kicked the Steelers *****. No whining or bitching and moaning about how mean or dirty the Ravens were. They just out played and coached the Steelers.

But with YOU guys. Always the whining and the bitching and your cheap-shot little punks going after knees. You hold on to the Von Oelhoffen thing like it's the ******* holocaust. For God's sake it was an accident. He was blocked into Palmer and he felt TERRIBLE about it. He was the guy who immediately called for help. HE wasn't celebrating about Palmer being hurt. He wasn't skipping all over the ******* field like a school girl who'd been kissed by a Senior. He was a former Bengal for ****'s sake. You know I used to respect the Bengals team if not the fans, but half of them are turning into out to be frickin thugs.

Obviously you look at it through Steeler glasses and I through Bengal glasses. Burfict does play dirty. But how can you really not think the Steelers are not one of the dirtiest playing teams in the NFL. Always have been.

The Steelers are KNOWN for being cheap shot artist. KNOWN FOR IT! It's funny how when people give it back the team and the fans start whining like *******. You got players threatening Burfict's life on twitter. I can't wait till we beat the **** out of you on Saturday night!

all of your post is ******* ignorant

**** that suggs wanna be....bring back Ward....he'll knock that dick out

Ward was a good player, cheap shot artist, but a good player. I highly doubt he would knock Burfict out but it would be interesting to see him try.

Ward, the HARD hitting wide receiver, he wasn't a dirty player. Even Keith Rivers had nothing to say of Ward's play. Burfict is a DIRTY player and it's not just the steelers or fans that are saying that. The sports talk shows lit up with both STEELERS and non-steelers fans about this low piece of less than honorable player. Seems to me the only ones calling the steelers dirty are guys like you trying to deflect the truth. If the bungles do win, honorably, we steelers fans can accept that. Throw a cheap shot burfict in and all HELL will break lose and rightfully so. You can bet when the STEELERS win, there isn't an intentional cheap shot such as what burfict would do. Oh, and then of coarse we will never see you again..........................

Salute the nation

Please, PLEASE tell me exactly what was said by Vince Williams, to make you think that he was threatening murder??? Hey, **** for brains, here's a clue: he was threatening to kick his ***, not murder him. But of course, the dipshits that is the bengals fanbase is quick to freak out when it comes to "da big, mean ol' st-st-st-st-steeeelerrrs"
