California has done a brilliant job of forcing out the middle class. The current residents can be categorized into three groups:

1. The very, very rich, usually tech millionaires, Silicon Valley employees, and successful professionals. They can afford walls and security gates for their property.
2. The remaining middle class, many of whom work for the government in one way or another - state, county, city employees, teachers, etc. This group is still going strong, but obviously cannot finance the boondoggle known as California.
3. Bums. Homeless, Drug addicts. Drug dealers. This population is BOOMIN!!!!

What California has lost are the middle class construction and manufacturing jobs that paid a good wage, allowed people to buy homes and put their kids through school, and pay their bills. California is so stupid and corrupt that it has killed the home building industry, and multi-billion dollar industry that pays workers a good deal of money, due to building limits, regulations, solar requirements, etc. Wow, what a shock, the state has a housing crisis that it thinks can be solved with more regulation and requirements that developers build "subsidized" housing. **** California.

As to manufacturing jobs, those were driven out by environmental regulations and NAFTA. California used to build billions of dollars worth of car parts, steel, computers, doors, windows, other construction materials, but those jobs are now in Mexico, Arizona and Texas. Now Kali is all hellbent on enforcing the ridiculous Prop 65 regarding drinking water. They are just completely unrealistic. We have a product that is used in water treatment. We also have a food grade form of it that provides a nutrient in flour. Because it is sourced from steel and some steel alloys “may” contain nickel, Kalifornia wants us to label our packaging with the statement that our product “may” cause cancer. Are you ******* kidding me? Nickel is a natural occurring element. It’s in our soil for Christ’s sake. Our product has 0 to 0.05% nickel. You couldn’t shovel enough platefuls of it straight down your gullet to get cancer. My official response is: **** YOU! We’ll make up our lost sales in California in other areas. On the other hand, we are the only domestic supplier of said product. Now those former customers are going to have to source it from China or India, and it probably is really toxic. California can’t punch its way out of a paper bag. ******* morons.

Unbelievable. Prop 65 is the most useless piece of **** imaginable. Ever. In history. "Oh, we will warn people about potential cancer, no matter how minute the chances!!" So every ******* building - I am not overstating this - has a useless ******* sign on the exterior, "Warning: This building may contain materials known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm." Every parking garage has the same warning. Every medical facility has the same warning sign. Every grocery store has the same warning sign. Every liquor store, furniture store (huh? I'm guessing varnish), gas station, amusement park (wait, what? I guess Mickey ******* Mouse causes cancer???), hotel, restaurant, and on and on have the signs.

You know what happens when every ******* thing you see, every ******* day, for every ******* everyday task, has a warning sign?!? Yep, you ignore the warnings. They are less effective than pop-up ads.

So how many cases of cancer and birth defect have been prevented? Oh, California has no ******* idea because their laws are designed mainly to allow politicians to feel good about themselves. Speaking of which, my personal opinion is that until citizens start pulling these politicians out of their taxpayer-funded offices and gated homes and putting them at the end of a rope, this **** will continue.

Landed a job at Boeing and is one of the techs/engineers on that lunar capsule they're currently working on. He met a woman in Commierfornia and had two kids with her. My Mom got homesick and we moved back to PA in the early 50's. When my folks would come out to visit in AZ, we'd often spend some time in S Cal. They were shocked to say the least.
