Calvin the cheetah

Dri Archer was Irrationally polarizing… look he was a horrible pick, but probably not one of the top 5 worse picks colbert made when you look at the entire picture..

I mean he was a COMP third round pick… if that draft had happened in the early 70’s he would have been the 19th pick in the fourth round… this wasn’t the same as flopping on a mid first rounder…

There were some contributors taken after him, but only like three or four pro bowlers, one of which really only had the one great year… thats out of the what ? 158 players that were drafted after him… it was just a very low talent draft only one third round pick even made a pro bowl and busts were everywhere that draft

IIRC, many of us here… including myself, were bitching about not getting Martavis Bryant… who we ended up getting the very next round…

This wasnt Gholston, who was the 56th overall 2nd round pick that never played a down for us… or Jarvis jones, who we squandered the 17th OA pick on only to see 11 of tge next 19 picks go on to become pro bowlers… this wasnt even Artie Burns, who we panic selected in the low first only to see an actual All pro CB get selected a few picks later…

It was a meh gamble on a very low third round pick … yet people lost their minds about him moreso than any of the other guys

I think the value of the combine is to make sure the player meets minimums of athleticism. See Jarvis Jones here. So there would be other elements to a Corner covering a 9 route but 40 speed would be one element.

He didn’t run a 4.03. I don’t think anyone has run a sub 4.2 forty let alone a sub 4.1 forty.

No one can run 4.03 40. They must have had time issues on his run. Like he said he would be the fastest man alive.
allow me to interject, as I am from the same hometown as Calvin.

The Memfist Brotha is different than your regular, run of the mill brothas from other places. We got something special in the water.

I just hope he can catch a ball and not get demolished after he does. Do they got that special water too?

now, see, you're getting greedy. one of the other. Sometimes there's a special flavor that allows both of those to be in the same bottle at the same time, but ...

Well Coolie's tank needed some of that magic h20. He ran 4.51 and has a high school body.

one of these days, y'all will view Coolie as everyone else does. a circus side show distraction with no redeeming value. a common idiot.

According to Calvin, the special flavor is chocolate protein shakes.
I just watched this interview he gave about a month ago. The kid seems to have his head on straight. As far as Dri Archer comparisons go, if you stop the video at the 6:15 mark, you can see that Calvin is pretty well put together for his size. Kid has quads that Dri could only dream about. I was rooting for him before, but after watching the video, he comes across as the type of guy you just want to see succeed.

Seems like a nice kid. But you can't run SUB (4.1) from the TUB.

Collie is just jealous that Houston has no social life nor culture that can come close to rivaling the smaller city of Memfist.

Geeeeeez Louise. And I was subtly saying lighten up when I answered. I never really thought he ran 4.03.
But he ran fast and it should be interesting to follow. Man.

So you're saying he ran a 4.03 40?

I suspect he ran so fast that time slowed down. The more you approach the speed of light, the more time slows. It's called the space-time paradigm.

There is nothing common about Coolie's idiocy. Nothing.

There were persistent rumors that Bo Jackson ran a 40 in 4.01… but that was in the pre computer timed days

So Bo knows Cheetah Speed….

These days I run at a Cheetos speed all the time… which is whatever time it takes someone to notice me laying on the ground from the inevitable heart attack and pick me up and carry me over the finish line

But highly unlikely he plays football. And it is not determined over 40 yards.

I think Usain Bolt held that title for awhile and it was based on his 100 M dash time.

Willie Gault was a well known speedster (based on his 100M dash), but also did pretty well in the NFL.

Point being, the 40 yard dash is useless for NFL criteria.

I would not say useless. You find out who doesn't have big speed. To me and this is the whole thing of this... who is below 4.5 40. That is the number that matters.
