Cam Heyward: I don’t want to play for another coach

What else is he suppose to say.

I know that Coach Tomlin is a payer’s coach, so all players want to play for him.

Player’s Coach : Not held to accountability and softness throughout practices. Favorites played on and off field of play. Friends

Heyward has been a great Steeler and member of the community. Since entering the starting lineup in 2013, he's been on teams that have gone 3-6 in the playoffs and the defenses have given up: 30, 23, 36, 45, 48, 42, and 31 in those 6 losses.

That's pretty much my take on it. It shows. Najee and a few other players have spilled the beans on that a few times.
 
Cam will be what, 35 next season. Time for him to hang it up.
Next, cut the cancer from this team by parting ways with the mediocre Mike. You simply will not win anything with mediocre Mike.
That players coach crap is nothing more than spoiled, entitled players whom he scouted and was responsible for drafting. Sure they want him. He acts like he’s one of the guys rather than the HC.
He coddles players like Pickens, Kenny, DJ, so naturally he’s a players coach.
 
Kenny Pickett and Najee Harris have both gone on record saying that the team is not serious about winning. PICKETT said guys need to study more. Harris talked about the loose rules that encourage laziness.

It's been a long time since the Steelers looked like an elite well oiled machine.

They need a total reboot.

Teflon Tomlin will not be easy to part ways with, unless he decides. Dan(R.I.P.) really screwed up hiring this clown.

I was watching a highlight shortened game from 1996 the other day. Just watching the defense swarm to the ball like piranhas no matter how far from them the play is on the field, then watching the defensive guys on this team just jog along waiting for someone else to make the tackle makes me want to puke.

I give a pass to Cam and TJ that's about it. They could have played on those teams.
 
Young kids can win ex. Houston Texans, nuff said. Can't teach quick or speed, both decrease with age. Must be an unbelievable athlete to keep up with the athletes coming into the league. Cam is soo much better than our next best DL, even playing "old" and hurt.
He may not be worth the money next year but he was by far our best leader on the DL. Nobody else pursues downfield like this guy. I don't know what some of you are watching but Cam isn't the issue. The issue is horrible talent evaluation and development around him.
Imagine what we would look like if Tuitt hadn't retired at 29. We need a replacement for Cam and may be able to trade him away to get his dream game but we need someone to be the next Cam Heyward that plays with that kind of resolve.
As far as his comments on HCMT, he is loyal. HCMT gave him his vet days off and as an ageing player, you gotta be thankful for that.

Nah, hiring him wasn’t really the wrong decision. They did it correctly by giving him competent coordinators to act as training wheels, but once the training wheels came off he showed he was in over his head.

Dan took a chance on a guy that was a”project” at HC, and gave him time, just too much time. I would rather hire a person that had a few more years of actual experience. I believe if Tomlin had not gotten the chance for another 3-4 years, his deficiencies would have showed by then, and not been given the chance.

Let Omar now bring in his guy. And then let that guy bring in their guys. The in house stuff needs to stop. Clean the house.
