I am almost of the opinion that maybe they could move Andy Weidel to HC, then go out and get a couple really good coordinators to add into the mix. Some of the best “managers” I have worked for didn’t know squat about the day to day jobs, but could see how the big picture needed to come together, and how to get the most from the “supervisors” to make it happen.
I think the days of the HC being the complete architect of all things O & D as well as HC duties is over. There is just too much going on today for one person to handle. The people that need the x & o skills are the coordinators. They should be responsible for the game plan and implementing it.
