When next season rolls around, can we use the nonexclusive franchise tag or transition tag on Bell and get a top draft pick if we don't match or is he a completely free agent with no compensation? I can't see us wasting our time and money with another exclusive franchise tag - we've gotten exactly one good game out of him this season.

How about we get through this season first?

they can use any tag they feel like., non exclusive would be the route to go if they wanted something in return..

The thing is, if he keeps preforming like ****. nobody is going to want him. let alone give up there 1st round pick

You're insane if you think no one would want him, even if he went out and ran for under 1,000 yards this season. If Bell became an UFA, he'd be the top player on the market.

Depends what he's worth to someone else. He can be franchise tagged for one more season, then he's a FA no matter who he's playing for. The fact that another team may only have him for one year plus his injury history would hold his trade value down. I would keep him, tag him for one more year, then sign him if possible, if not then it's no big deal.

The steelers would be wise to give conner plenty of opportunities......he may be the future. Lets see what he really can do.

Bell value is DOWN. The time to trade him was in the pre-season, and I was for it as long as I got two first round picks.

I thought he was part of Colberts "Strong Hand" . But youre all for throwing away that part of the strong hand. Got it.

Coach, Hindsight might make me agree with you but going back to preseason the consensus was "we had a SB contender in our team". You couldn't trade away a main cog of that wheel. As enticking as two 1st round draft picks are the SB value exceeded that cinerio. At the end of this season maybe....................

Salute the nation

C'mon on man...stop.

for those who want him gone b/c of a poor start and think it will be a full lousy season if you want to trade remember when the Rams gave up on Bettis and we got him pretty much free

Bell will be franchised again. No need to talk about it for at least another year and a half.

For as much football knowledge you claim to have, you should know that Bell could not be traded as he had NOT signed his tender and therefore NOT under contract. As for another one of your IDIOTIC predictions...KC says hello.
