Mistake on the Lake: Sinking into the abyss since 1965.
So here is why I think the Cleveland braintrust is too knee jerk..
This swap is for two guys that are both mid tier starters.
Newsome was having a really good season back outside after some bumps as the slot guy the previous years... he also is on an expiring deal.
Campbell signed a huge deal prior to last season then regressed. He is under contract two more years after this. The thing is, this deal gives cleveland long term stability, but probably is making the Jags a better team right now...
Cleveland owns tge Jags first rounder next season... they shouldnt be doing them any favors

the Jags got the better of the deal, imo, since they also swapped draft picks with the Jags getting a 6th for their 7th - while trading for the exact same guy they have now.
