CBS Sports predicting Russell Wilson to sign with Steelers

His benching doesn't exactly give a high level of confidence. He clearly isn't the QB he once was. So in evaluating him you have to ask yourself what would be the intention on bringing him in. Backup or starter? As a starter he is going in the wrong direction. I think that would be a mistake bringing him in in that capacity...
He is a victim of a management power struggle in Denver----and a new head coach that is not aligned with him being his QB long term, mainly due to cap restraints..

I would be willing to look at a 2 year deal for Russell..
Im afraid Mason is going to hop off the bus in the season, Mitch will be released.....and we will need to have at least proven winner who is still very capable at the QB position on the roster...

I think Wilson to Pickens would be a nice partnership and open up this offense very well...

Just look at what Flacco is doing for Cleveland...and Wilson is a better QB IMHO..

...

However, I am very much open to exploring the Wilson possibility further...

I feel he would make us a legit top 5 team immediately....and when you have recently become eligible for social security....I like the immediate part of it.
That's what the broncos thought

Wilson is a future HOF QB, he will not be signing for less than 20 mill per and probably more than that.

I dont think he is done, but I wouldnt mortgage the future on a 36 yr old guy who may be in decline

I've watched Wilson 2-3 times & in 2024 Wilson has looked like a very serviceable NFL QB which of course KP is not...

That is literally ALL WE NEEDED ALL YEAR...
I'm still not convinced that KP can't be salvaged, with a large part of his shortcomings due to lack of an offensive scheme and someone, anyone on this team able to coach him up. I may be completely wrong, but I'm skeptical that if they do use a high draft pick on a QB, with the current coaching staff, the results will be the same.

I hear ya. Wacco does make you reevaluate older QBs. Sometimes father time surprises...

This thread is gonna be a fun bump a year or so from now when it's beyond obvious that Wilson was clearly NOT the way to go

You never know. Look at Flacco, of course Flacco is going to hit the ceiling soon I believe, but still...never say never.

Out of all the quarterbacks mentioned in that CBS article, I'd say that Bo Nix might be the most intriguing QB option for the Steelers. I don't see him going to the Giants in the first round, but a lot can change before the draft.

Nix definitely has my interest. I like three QBs out of the gates and he seems to be the only one that should be available.

I always like to look back at my initial to later opinions. This year it seems to be slowly shifting towards Penix. But like my like for Daniels, I expect him to be off the board by the time the 20s roll around...

Whose worse a dog killer and low level thug.......or a guy whose social and political views you or I don't agree with?

Just some perspective.....not that I want him in the room...

The dog-killer could play once...

Guys run their mouth now and have no idea what they're saying just save this thread in case he gets a chance somewhere and does well
I'll just hold my breath.
