CHEAP Rooney and facility conditions..............................................

I hear yayz black and gold apex.

The weight room needs to be high quality because a lot of our players live right here in Pittsburgh and work out year round there. That part needs to be very very good.

That also goes to the re-hab of all injuries from day to day to the more serious kind. There should be a happy mix but better than being ranked near the bottom of nfl facilities.

fedderone says it well in that a better survey with transparency needs to be done. Also all players league wide participate in survey from a home & visitor perspective of the stadiums they have been in that season.

“Holy Hindsight Batman!”, in no way am I proffering 100% support for Art2, but the contextual questionnaire itself is misleading. Remember this survey was created by the NFLPA, not a joint survey. First off half the Franchises don’t have “Daycare Services” for the players. Same for “Family Areas for players” after games. Only the huge financial investment stadiums like the Jerrah’s World, and these newer much more larger playing venues have the room. (All except Sofi and AT&T were built with loans from the other franchises as well). As for the trainers, staffing and weight room, I’d agree the weight room needs separated from Pitt. Sharing a weight/workout area with a Div 1 college program, isn’t realistic anymore. Norwig, “Geily” and Pastoor are award winning ACTs., they do have three Asst trainers as well, plus interns, but why more staffing, when players elected to practice a ton less these last two CBAS? That is the reason for injuries so early into pre/regular season, not the lack of ACTs.

It’s also ironic the NFLPA released this survey at the combine, and not before the owners meeting at the end of the month. Don’t kid yourself, this is early play going into the next CBA.

Like I said, a much more transparency on the survey is needed.

Maybe this is a chance for Art2 to re-evaluate the situation. Actually, put the team and players first because without them, there is no product. There is also EXACTLY that line that you state........ CBA PROXY.

Thanks for all your great post(s) Ike, appreciate the insight.!!

Thanks Drink. I’m always suspicious of partisan efforts on either the NFLPA or League, when stuff like this comes out. It should have been an internal brief to the League and not publicly released. I read in one article only 43 (?) players on the Steelers completed the form, so survey metrics would seem to be limited. I mean, were they all tenured vets? Or even rostered? it makes a difference.
