A child rape victim says she cannot forgive Hillary Clinton for defending her rapist in court 40 years ago, saying the Democratic presidential candidate attacked her credibility despite knowing that her assailant was guilty – and later laughed about it in a taped interview.

Kathy Shelton was just 12 years old when a 41-year-old drifter raped her on the side of a desolate Arkansas road in 1975.

Defense lawyers have no real conscience....which is pretty much common knowledge I think. I mean part of the job entails defending people that you know hurt someone else and trying to convince people that they didn't. It takes a special breed to be able to look a rape victim in the eye and fight with all your power to get her rapist off the hook or a lower sentence. Normal people don't have the stomach for it. People with no conscience can do the job really really well. It's why people have such contempt for them.

Anyone who can succeed in a job that requires them to get people off the hook for violent crimes who they know are guilty, has no conscience. No spin required to make the point. The profession demands the absence of conscience for one to be successful at it.

how do you question the credibility of a 12 year old kid. and then laugh about it in any way. can anyone seriously say that it was her job to do this and it is ok to laugh? this is sick. and this ***** might very well become our next president unless all republicans come together.

I guess every once in a while someone is innocent and you save them from a terrible life, but trying to defend the scums of the earth don't know how anyone can do that. It's almost inevitable she will be President.

She has been the favorite since day 1 and nothing really has changed. We see the corruption behind the process. We see the "pay-to-play" donations. We see the backroom deals. Doesn't matter. The media propaganda machine is working in full order at tearing down Trump and promoting the Chosen One.

I'm proud that America bucked the establishment at least in the Republican primaries. Gave them a big middle finger salute. Changed the party (I think) for the better.

There will be more "Nationalist" republican candidates coming down the pike. There will be more that will stress slowing down "socialist globalization" and rethinking our immigration policies and tolerance of "moderate" Islam (which we all know isn't moderate at all). There will be more candidates that refuse to talk politically correct and start talking like real people do when communicating their positions.

I'm voting Trump because he's an independent in a system clearly rigged to keep the powers in power and their growing power on a global scale. I don't like the idea of illegal immigrant amnesty or increased Muslim immigration. I want stronger borders and immigration laws that are enforced. I want to re-evaluate our trade agreements and start exposing (and in some cases walking away from) those countries not following or twisting the agreements in their favor. I want health care reform that acknowledges every Obama promise about his law is falling apart at the seems. I want to slow down government spending.

I want a government to be empathetic to it's citizens but still have "tough love" and punish appropriately those that break our laws. The left spin of being empathetic and NOT punishing people or holding them accountable is wrong.

There are so many things headed in the wrong direction and will continue over the next 4 years. I just hope we can just keep on working, keep on fighting and hopefully a candidate comes along that will wake up America and win.

One of my good friends from law school is a criminal defense attorney and a spectacularly good lawyer. He and I talk frequently about his role in the process, and he tells me, "Look, somebody needs to make sure the government does its job. All I ask the jury to do is to make sure the government is not skipping steps, or hiding evidence, or lying about evidence."

He is right. Criminals deserve a competent lawyer to represent them. Public defenders are can be some of the best lawyers on the planet - and also, unfortunately, some of the worst.

Did Clinton have any cause to laugh about the outcome? No. Was she within the rules in attacking the victim? Not currently. Would I have been swayed by personal attacks on a 12-year old victim? Not in a million years. Would I have conducted a character attack on a 12-year old?

Nope. Would not do it. Before you give me too much credit, I would not do it because I am pretty sure I would piss off the jury so much that I am all but guaranteeing a guilty verdict.

That, and attacking a 12-year old girl is ****** up.
