clowns cut S Calvin Pryor because of a pre- practice fight

I'd take Pryor over Golden any day. Honestly, I'd also bring back Dangerfield, and save money by cutting Mitchell. I know that wouldn't be all that popular, but IMHO, Mitchell's pretty overrated, and I'm tired of his stupid penalties. I'd take Davis, Wilcox, Pryor, and Dangerfield with Hagen on the practice squad, any day. Young and talented.

I agree. His second year with us showed promise but it's been a downward spiral ever since. The one big problem is experience. Davis is only in his second year. Wilcox is not even in his second week. If we cut Golden and sign Pryor we have no experience at safety. I think Mitchell makes it this year just because of his knowledge and next year we go safety pretty early.
 
Good point Ford, maybe Gay can act as a swing CB/S, and help provide some experience (at least with the defense)
 
Nothing that **** stain on the league does surprises me anymore.
 
With all the bad juju over there in Cleveland, it makes our game just that much more potentially disastrous. I think I would crawl into a sewer drain and stay there if we were to **** the bed on Sunday. To make it even scarier, we've done it before so no one can say it's not possible.

This is a new year and we have the running attack to take charge of the tempo, so I'll just get those stupid thoughts right outta my head right now.......I hope.

Yep. There is absolutely no way we just come out, handle business, and dominate as we are expected. This team is utterly incapable of playing its best when heavily favored, especially on the road. They just have a mental block. They are not mentally equipped to NOT take teams lightly. No way we score more than 13 pts

We need to get our Defense off of the field. Then our Offense can score more points. Letting Rookie QB's throw easy 3rd down passes employing a soft 10 yard cushion has been our down fall. It keeps the opposing teams offense on the field while ours stays on the side line. As I said in another thread. I'm curious what type of defense we will be playing on Cleveland's first 3rd and short with their rookie QB. Will we be pressing their WR's or will we allow the young inexperienced QB make an easy 5 yard completion because we are playing with a soft 10 yard cushion.

New year, new hope. Let's see if the Steelers improved on their weaknesses over the offseason. **** the browns. Not losing

I am going to have a open mind. Our roster has a good new paint-job with what I perceive to be a upgrade with starters ( Martavis,Watt,Mcdonald,Haden) and depth (Wilcox,Alualu,Conner,)

A decent overhaul, so I am in a wait and see mode,... with cautious optimism.
 
We need to open up the play calling right out of the gates. Pass / pass / PASS / pass then go to run run run run, then take it from there. Remeber if we get out early lead then control the clock weather by run or pass but control the clock.

At least Pryor has shown the willingness to hit someone...more then we can say for Golden
