Coach Tomlin apparently doesn't think Bryant will help us much the rest of the way

We can be a better team with a Bryant who has bought in and decides to play team ball. Do we need him? No. But can we use him yes. Im all for giving him a chance to redeem himself once again. What's to lose?

Stupid tweets calling out teammates/coaches, more negative media coverage and nonstop questions about a disgruntled player, Bryant continuing to talk to the media about being upset and demanding traded, his girlfriend opening her mouth more, the possibility of being suspended for the rest of the season again...etc.

Just what every SB contender needs gearing up for a playoff run...

I think Bryant’s real issue is with himself and not with the team. He expected much more from himself and would be producing like in the past but hasn’t worked that way. He’s really disappointed in himself but the immaturity is surfacing and he doesn’t know any other way to handle his lack of production.
Now you factor in outside influences from the agent and girlfriend telling him he’s not being used right, now it’s the teams fault and “I want out of here”.
Until he gets his head straight nothing will change. The talent is still there but he must mature.
Now with Ju Ju’s big game this can either motivate him or he could even sink deeper. It’s all in how he handles it and if the maturation process has started.

Bryant will be back on the field but he will need to earn his snaps and targets. JuJu should be the clear No. 2 guy after the past 3 games. He is getting open and making big plays. And, Ben is comfortable throwing to him.

Tough love. Get your **** together or we move on.

There was an interesting stat line NBC put up during the game regarding pass snaps/thrown to/catches for the first 8 games. AB was 1st, Bell was 2nd and..........Bryant was 3rd. Juju was 4th. All this crying....not being used enough, not enough snaps, thrown to....is whiners complex. If the stats are accurate. He was third, second among WRs. That was his role, #2 WR. Has been since they started OTAs. He isn't getting open, or producing. He needs to shut up on media period and gain the trust of his QB. Who BTW isn't playing well. All his long throws are off.

He's had several chances to make big plays that he's made in the past. The big drop vs Chicago, the pass last week that has a good chance for a long TD, but he didn't look for the ball until it was too late, the Jax game he didn't even attempt to go up and get a back shoulder throw that would've easily been PI if he didn't catch it.

yes we get that

been addressed

happens again?

suspend him

until then see what happens

Funny thing is the teams that were inquiring about his trade availability are contenders per reports.

I'm interested to see how this plays out. Benching him was a teachable moment, and Tomlin was tough on him. How is Bryant going to respond? If he responds with fire, and it helps propel us to become even greater, I'm all for that move!

Oh I also want to take the time to give Tomlin kudos on this one.

On sitting him down to give him something to think about.

Especially not activating him.

Took some kahonas......

AB, Juju, Rogers, Hunter and DHB
Best WR corps in the league, eh?

Ab, no arguments.

JuJu. Until last night he had barely more yards than our malcontent Bryant, and just about as many drops. Think about that.

Rogers... seriously?

Hunter... who? That guy who caught 1 7 yard pass. He makes me miss Sammie Coates. And that's a ******* crime against humanity.

DHB. Nice effort on that EZ pass. Dive much? We were kinda in a desperate dogfight there Darius. Kinda needed that one. You ARE the speedster right?

If that's the best WR corps in the league, shall we all switch to soccer? Watch something exciting?

Tunch just said Bryant had a great week of practice last week running with the scout team. Wasnt pouting played hard and caught everything.

In my wrestling room in H.S. I used to whoop up on guys two weight classes above me. Get to the "real deal" and have trouble with kids that were not as good as the guys in our room. Our coach pulled me aside one tournament and said "It don't mean **** what you do in the room if you won't do it out here." Won that tournament and had a nice little H.S. career after that. Nothing spectacular, but, better.

That's Bryant. All we've been hearing since camp is about how good his attitude is at practice, how he looks "good", etc. etc.

I say "It don't mean **** what he does on the practice field if he won't do it during games." ... it's just show up or shut up time for Martavis. I hope he he shows up. I really do.

I see you tearing those guys up but what other WR corp would you rather have? I still haven't seen anyone mention another.

Really you're bringing up drops in your support of Bryant?? In 2015, Bryant had a drop on 10% of his targets. 50 catches and 9 drops are really tough stats to replace.

Also Ben missed DHB in the endzone. Eli's was a drop, DHB's was on Ben.

I have no doubt the coaches have challenged Bryant to step up his game and told him he could be a big part of the offense like he used to be. He hasn't stepped up and then mouthed off on the internet. No wonder why Tomlin doesn't have confidence. I don't either.
