College Bowl Thread

The Citrus Bowl was amazing. Serious great ball. Congrats to ND on the win, and LSU on the effort. No reason to hang your heads.

Better than my Aztecs losing to Army. That sucked.

Nope. But putting 2 SEC teams in the playoffs sure the hell was.

If you think that UCF is better than the 4 teams in the Playoffs - so be it - like Charlie said, UCF has been the silent darling for many Floridians this year...

They just showed everyone that they deserved a shot.

THANKS for the banter, guys. My bowl watching is done till next year. :herewego:

I think it switched to ESPN when it became the college football playoff invitational...

The SEC was obviously way over-rated. If UCF shouldn’t have been in the playoff then the Big 10 should have had two teams in the playoff and the SEC none.

True but I really don’t think big time schools really care if they win these consolation bowls.
I live in Florida and everyone is excited for UCF

Right, they don’t really care about how potential recruits perceive them losing to UCF either.

I'm laughing at you Tape - hysterically right now...

yeah, all it took was SC to get 5 turnovers in the second half to sweat out a win. Real powerhouse team they got there. Don't know if that's a chest thumping win.

What happened to LSU and mighty Auburn?

Funny how ESPN used to constantly update the bowl records of the various conferences previous years, but this yer, not so much. In fact, this year i keep hearing analysts tell me that you can't put too much stock on bowl results. ESPN is the SEC propaganda network.

Rosebowl is fun. Two well matched teams.

If ESPN is the SEC propaganda network, it's followed very closely by their love for the Big 10.

Love of ratings. Big 10 has millions of alumni. Many SEC fans only watch football on Saturdays.

Obviously, but it's pretty hard to ignore the love that ESPN gives that conference.

Georgia has to go onside kick to begin the second half. If Oklahoma starts the second half with a TD drive, this thing is probably over.
