College Football Bowls and Playoffs

What a mess of a post season. I hate Texas and even I would rather see them play Oregon that James Madison. Notre Dame/Ole Miss would be great, too.

Slow clap for the kid that’s played almost nobody in stacking his stat sheet.

Dude has quite the list of dogshit tomato cans he pointed up on…good lawd, he’s played 3 decent teams all season (Oregon, Iowa State and OSU). That’s a normal month for a SEC team.

But yeah he whooped these conference foes
0-9 Purdue
1-8 Maryland
1-8 MI State
2-7 Wisconsin
3-6 UCLA
3-6 PSU
And the big dog 5-4 Illinois 🤯

Throw in Indiana State, Old Dominion and Kennesaw State and ya got enough tomato cans for the start of a good marinara sauce.

What a freakin’ cake walk dog **** SOS

He did go
48/77 670 yards and 4 TDs/3 picks vs the 3 decent teams though…again slow clap for the college QB trophy winner.

Dude is OVER RATED
First of all, the third "decent" team you meant to point out is Iowa, not Iowa State.

Let's compare and contrast the #2 vote-getter Diego Pavia, and see what his murderer's row looked like:

He played two three-loss teams, Alabama and Texas, and lost to both of those.

He whooped up on these conference foes:
1-7 South Carolina
1-7 Auburn
2-6 Kentucky
3-5 LSU
4-4 Tennessee
4-4 Missouri

Throw in those four tough non-conference opponents (Charleston Southern, Virginia Tech, Georgia State, and Utah State), games in which Vanderbilt scored 45, 44, 70, and 55 points, respectively, and you've got more cupcakes than a Betty Crocker exhibit.

Pavia did go 21/35 for 198 yards and 1 touchdown with an INT and a lost fumble against one three-loss team, and managed to put up a whole shltload of garbage yards against the other, after his team was losing by 24 points in the fourth quarter...so there's that.

Funny how you said that playing the likes of Oregon and Ohio State and Iowa is a regular monthly occurrence in the SEC, yet Diego's SEC team went an entire 12-game SEASON and played only two opponents who finished in the top 25. Hmmm.

You're forgetting that every single SEC game is basically on the level of the NFL. Those teams only had bad records because the SEC is so tough. Vandy would probably go unbeaten in the Big 10.

LOL at this Ryan Leaf like apology. I bet his agent went off on him about how he has zero chance for endorsements now and that this will hurt him in the draft.

PR person or ChatGPT.

Maybe the top QB in the transfer portal. Also, a darkhorse candidate for QB3 in this draft.

sorry, i haven't even heard of this guy
Small school QB like BigBen without BigBen’s decent final year accuracy. I think he should hit that transfer portal and go back for another year.

Can't tell if this is satire. The SEC is deeper than the Big Ten but the top of the Big is better. SEC rankings always inflated by ranking 15 of them in the top 25 every summer, teams like Mizzou beat up on cupcakes and then lose 4-5 in the conference so those teams get "ranked wins".

UGA is the only SEC team in the field that can win it all, IMO. Between them, OSU, and IU.

A&M's defense is trash.

Agreed
The best player in college football this season played the position of running back.

Great hire for PSU. One of the biggest problems has been a lack of development of WRs. They've recruited decently at WR but few have developed.

Define powerhouse?
Top 25 Teams? If so, there were several.
If you mean top five teams, we would’ve found out if the Notre Dame was rightfully selected for the playoffs that’s for sure.
And if so, they would’ve rode that horse all the way to the national championship in my humble opinion,, obviously slighted it a bit.

Compare him to other running backs in the country, there is no denying his talent and skill set is a step above all others in the nation.

I know, and yinz know I’m a little biased, but I watch a lot of college football, and this kid is the best running back to come along in a long time, in my humble opinion.

I am disappointed he has decided to GoPro, but I totally understand his reasoning, and it’s probably the best thing to do for him and his family.

Go Irish!

Don't get me wrong, I think Love is a stud and the best back in the country, but if the argument against Mendoza is that he didn't play anyone (and he played OSU and Oregon), his best games were against meh competition.

And ND should be in the playoff.

Two bowls in the day for the work from home people and the first playoff game tonight at 8 with Bama at Oklahoma.

A few weeks ago, people were watching the Iron Bowl and assuming if Bama lost, DeBoer would be forced out at Bama and go to Penn State. Now it’s the same speculation for Michigan if Bama loses to OK.

NFL going head to head with the CFP. Should be interesting to see the ratings when it’s all said and done.

If ND and Texas were playing instead of JMU and Tulane, the CFP would have played the games earlier

The NFL is going to absolutely destroy the CFP ratings. The ratings were nearly doubled last year when varisty teams were playing in the playoffs. This year we have two JV teams playing going up against the NFL.

Bama has more talent and should win but they haven’t played well in so many games. Georgia is good but not so good to dominate Bama like that.

I’m thinking Bama wins but who knows with their Jekyll and Hyde act this year.

Doesn’t help that the college games are on TNT and HBO Max. Maybe they’ll do good streaming numbers with people watching second screen. If JMU or Tulane is playing with a lead and the NFL game sucks, who knows.

We've got a puncher's chance tonight.

Key players back but still missing one OLman.

It'll be close IMO but Bama wins...
