College Football Championship Week

Outside of an expanded playoffs, it seems like the next step for college football will be the Super League creating a high-revenue group of teams that separates from the rest of college athletics. This should (hopefully) allow non-revenue sports to get back to regional conferences that make sense as well as create a multi-tier system of football that doesn't have so much financial imbalance.
Sounds like something that would work for major league baseball also

Tulane 34 - North Texas 21
Tulane is basically a lock for the CFP.

James Madison 31 - Troy 14
JMU has a real chance to make it if Duke wins tonight.

Kennesaw State 19 - Jacksonville State 15

Boise State 38 - UNLV 21
I suppose this boosts Notre Dame's resume.

Personally, I don’t think it matters where Ohio State plays Indiana.
They win by at least two scores anywhere.
The three best teams playing today are Ohio State, Texas Tech, and Georgia by a fairly comfortable margin in each case.
I wouldn't write off BYU so quickly...they've gotten a proven system and dedicated players for the past 5 years. And...

How dare you leave Bama off this list?!?! I know. I know. Coach DeBeor better bring his A game today though...

I’ll never understand why the SEC championship isn’t a prime time game. Probably the biggest championship game on the calendar and it’s at 4. I’ll be watching the JMU game as they have a long shot at reaching the playoff, as well as the SEC and BIG championships. The rest are basically football cannon fodder.
What makes the SEC championship game the biggest game on the calendar? Sounds like propaganda. The Big 10 game features the top 2 teams in the nation.

More in terms of popularity. The SEC features 8 of the top 10 teams watched this year and 13 of the top 20. The SEC generally also has most of the future NFL talent. However, Ohio State-Michigan was the most watched game and tonight will have monster ratings as well--there really isn't much at stake. Both teams are locks. I know they'll say Alabama is a lock, but a big loss this afternoon and there have to be some questions.

It’s generating a lot more buzz. Game Day was in Atlanta as opposed to Indianapolis. And I think there’s more on the line. A loss by Alabama likely puts them on the outside. Nothing changes regardless of who wins the Big 10. Both of those teams are top 4 locks regardless of the outcome. Sure it’s a big game. But other than a trophy there’s not much at stake.

We are almost there. The SEC and Big 10 just have to absorb the rest of the worthy programs. There are your conferences.

Won't know who the "real" #1 and #2 are until the national championship game. I hope tOSU is one of them and I like our chances.
