College Football Championship Week

what was it a couple years ago when undefeated FL got left out only so Alabama could get in, and the excuse was that FL QB was hurt? WTF They still went undefeated. just bullshit. Takes the enjoyment out of even watching the playoffs.
It’s an invitational, not a true playoff.

I don't understand how a sun belt champ would get in but not the ACC champ. I think any power champ should get in. If they want to put Bama in then that's fine but it shouldn't be over a conference champ. To me it is like the NFL when we had division champs finish below 500.

College Football Playoff Bracket

1. Indiana
8. Oklahoma vs. 9. Alabama

4. Texas Tech
5. Oregon vs. 12. JMU

3. Georgia
6. Ole Miss vs. 11. Tulane

2. Ohio State
7. Texas A&M vs. 10. Miami

So the SEC is the only conference where a loss in the conference championship game does not matter. Losses in any other conference make a difference.

Notre Dame is in the entire time and Miami randomly flips into the playoffs while both teams were sitting at home.

Ole Miss beat Tulane by 5 TDs earlier this season.

Crazy that there are 3 coaching changes in the 12 teams making the playoffs.

If the ACC had proper tiebreaker procedures, Miami and Notre Dame would be in.

If Notre Dame was in the ACC, they would be in.

If the CFP didn't favor the SEC, Alabama would be out, Miami and Notre Dame would be in.

Settle down, squeaky. Bama aint getting in
Welp!!

As a Notre Dame fan, I am crushed. I am torn on Alabama. They had three losses, one to a bad FSU team, minus 3 yards rushing in a conference championship blowout loss to Georgia. Having said that, they also had multiple wins over ranked teams, including beating Georgia at Georgia. My biggest problem is Notre Dame being left out and including James Madison and Tulane. Maybe Notre Dame's schedule wasn't as strong this year as others. However, wins over USC, Pitt were far better than anything JMU and Tulane had this year. Not to mention, we get a rematch of Ole Miss vs Tulane at Oxford, where Ole Miss won 35-3. Does anybody on this board want ot guess what the final score of JMU and Oregon in Eugene is gonna be? I'll start, something like 35-3.

We really just have to accept that every season, there will be at least 1-2 teams that will be pissed off and feel they've been slighted. It's never gonna be a perfect method, it is what it is

After I settled down and thought about it a little bit and tried to justify it reasonably in my mind.
I believe it’s time for Notre Dame to join a conference. We could join the ACC in football, dominate that conference and even get in with three or four losses, maybe overall.

Sorry, man.

I'm fine with it if not for the fuckery. What I read about the reasoning behind moving Alabama over ND last week was laughable. The guy said they had a gutsy fourth down call in the Iron Bowl. ND didn't need one. They kicked the **** out of Stanford.

Notre Dame should be in over Alabama, who has no business being in after the loss last night. They're a lock if they're in a conference and you're right, they'd be in basically every year with a bye if they were in the ACC.

It is what it is moving on
Notre Dame is in the ACC conference for all other sports except football.
So it would be an easy move and I’m sure the ACC would be thrilled that they join that conference, including their football program

While, even as a Bama fan I don't think they deserve to be in it, but the problem is the conference championship game. One of the two teams in it will have another loss while other teams in the conference that didn't make the CCG (ole miss and Oklahoma) stay safe as far as seeding. I agree that the CCG loser shouldn't be penalized because of that 'glitch' in the rules. While I wouldn't want to get rid of the CCG , it certainly can create a bad look.

I think we should pony up 20 million and join whatever conference JMU and Tulane are in.
