Well that turned into a decent game. It damn sure looked like a blowout.
Notre Dame lost the game in the second quarter. That was just too much to overcome.
That and I think Ohio State got conservative in the second half.

Congrats to the Buckeyes! My Irish fought their *** off. Thank you to Coach Freeman and Riley Leonard for showing the heart of a lion. Thank you for a great season and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next year.

@troymania @steel dino and all the other Irish fans on here, props to your boys for a helluva game. They made the Buckeyes earn it, fought like hell and didnt quit. ND had a ton of heart and left it all out there on the field, major props

Definitely a down year for them. It's a pro league now. You've got to pay to win. I don't see any team staying on top for long. Which is good.

I thought the playoff was kind of a let down. A lot of games I was excited to watch turned out to be duds. At least there were a few fairly compelling games. Surely it can only get better.

After watching all games, my final ranking would be
1 Ohio State
2 Oregon
3 Penn State
4 Texas
5 Notre Dame
Oregon got screwed with the bye and their path. The long idle period for teams on bye obviously hurt them. They all lost and all started their games very slowly. If Oregon did not have a bye, I think they play Ohio State even and maybe win. I feel certain that OSU and Oregon were the top 2 teams this year.
They absolutely must fix the timing next year. That’s more important than the seeding issues. In the current format, I’d rather not have a bye. They need to come up with something.
I was against 16 teams making the playoff. It seems too many. But it may be better to have 16 and no byes. Let your reward for being the 1 or 2 seed be that you get to play the 16 and 15 seed almost as a warm up. That’s better than having to sit idle for 20+ days and play a good team that just played and is ready to go.
They need to play more games at home stadiums. It’s not fair to fans to ask them to make so many road trips. At the very least, they need to make round 2 home games for the teams that had byes.

I lived in the Buckeye state for 20 years and have old friends that are very happy this morning.. and rightfully so.
OSU won at the lines of scrimmage IMHO..
I’ll Never forget the herculian effort of Riley Leonard on that first drive.. very Tebow like..Kid is awesome on and off the field!
Props to my Fighting Irish and Coach Freeman on a great season and being a great example of outstanding student athletics and stewards of the Notre Dame way.
BTW… for all you college football fans.
Add a visit on game day to Notre Dame to your bucket lists.. you won’t be disappointed.
