The top teams of the Big 10 are all off this week, PSU, Ohio State and Michigan. With Penn State on a Bye, this is a weak slate by definition. But for sake of completeness, let's see what the other less important teams are doing this week.

12 Oklahoma State at 25 Texas 12:00 FOX Tex -3.5 O/U 60
Okla Sta is unbeaten. Texas is coming off the epic collapse vs Oklahoma in the red river shootout. Texas is really up and down this year. Okie State has fallen off since Mason Rudolph left and this could be a huge win for the program.

Auburn at 17 Arkansas 12:00 BCS Ark -4.5 O/U 54
Arkansas has looked good and also been blown out. This could be the week to find out how good Auburn really is. Their only 2 losses are to PSU and Georgia, who likely would be ranked 1 and 2 right now if PSU's QB didn't get injured last week. They scored 10 on Georgia which is probably 10 more than most thought they'd score.

21 Texas A&M at Missouri 12:00 SECN TAM - 11 O/U 59.5
TAM pulled of the upset over Bama last week. Missouri is not that good. I only mention this game because it feels like the classic setup for a letdown. I wish TAM was playing somebody a bit better this week like Tenn or or Auburn so i could bet on the upset. I don't think i can bring myself to betting on Mizz but it's tempting.

11 Kentucky at 1 Georgia 3:30 CBS UGA -21.5 O/U 44.5
Penn State transfer QB Will levis has Kent undefeated. But this defense is a huge step up in competition. Levis is a physical runner and was used mostly (ironically) as a wildcat at PSU. He's passing more at Kentucky but he may have to revert to his power running tendencies to keep the chains moving vs Georgia.

I wrote in last week's thread, it's actually better for the SEC os Kent somehow wins this. The SEC wants 2 playoff teams. If Kent wins this and ends up in the SEC Champ game instead of Georgia, then it avoids GA and bama facing off in the Champ game. Bama will likely make it on their side. If they face GA and lose that's 2 losses. I wouldn't put it past the committe to put 2 loss Bama in the playoff but it's no guarantee. And what if Bama beats GA in the Champ game? They probably both get in but Ga would likely not be the 1 seed. Best scenario is GA and Bama miss each other in the Champ game.

Pitt at Virginia Tech 3:30 ESPN2 Pitt - 5 O/U 56
Could be a good game. Pitt is hoping to break into the rankings. With the weak schedule this game could end up with a lot of viewers, especially if the UGA vs Kentucky game turns into a blowout. Also, Kenny Picket will have a lot of interest as his name is starting to surface as one of the top QBs in a weak QB class.

Well for the benefit of their program I am willing to give Ok state Mason back. It is a sacrifice I am willing to take on, I am unselfish like that.

WVU has a bye this week so no chance of another embarrassing loss. Good day to work outside.

Kentucky isn’t getting any respect, 21 point dogs.

Michigan State plays today. I doubt they could hang in the SEC, but they’re still ranked 10th.

Beautiful day here!

Bye week for the Irish.

Heading to to our place down in Long Neck today...Trick or Treat with my granddaughters at Leisure Point tonite!

I will check out tonight's games though....
Saturday's in October are the best!

Enjoy men!

Thanks tape, good write up and though I'm not a college guy I sure do enjoy these weekly write ups of yours.

College games are entertaining.

I guess cause the mrs and I attended UGA, but the games the past three seasons have been must watch on Saturday’s. But now that I’m more relaxed on Saturdays and seeing new school traditions when I tune into college gameday and fox pregame. It’s been fun of late.

@Drink IRON City
You’re welcome to jump on the UGA wagon. I’ll accept ya.
I don’t have a bias towards my conference. I root for UGA cause that’s my alma mater and I root for the SEC cause it’s good for the conference. But I also root for New Mexico cause they are my parents school and local. UNM doesn’t have a strong gameday tradition but school wise they are a great school.

what? no love for #3 Cincinnati?

granted - **** all thing OH,

but the AAC has a shot this season to get to the playoffs - luckily for Cincinnati the miss UH is the regular season

If Pitt wins I think they should be in the rankings. That one loss will bite them in the *** though.

Regardless of what happens in the UK/UGA game, Ky's helmets are looking tight.

Pitt playing for first place and if they win they will be in the top 25.
Right now Pitt is up 7-0.
Kenny Pickett playing good so far

Wind is a real factor in the game.
Our first "cold" front of Fall blew through VA today. Messed up my lawn mowing plans. Thinking I need to hold down the couch watch a little college football and have a couple colbeers. Go Pitt!

Purdue showing everyone Iowa is a big fraud at No. 2.

I think we found our next QB if only the Steelers weren't allergic to drafting players from Pitt.

You march on over there to the Rooney upmc center, you grab Art duece by his collar and you say “Look here pal” and you let that spoiled little brat know the future of the Steelers is under center at Pitt

Lol. Not gonna lie we benefited from home cooking there

Smacked the ish out of kentucky too lol.
Gator on the menu in two weeks.

I agree those helmets are badass
I thought it was a respectable showing by Kentucky. It seemed closer than the score to me. Georgia’s defense seems pretty stout.

Kentucky is a talented team. Once Georgia figured out Levis throws a screen or the flat as his checkdown then the game got away from them.

Aside, they played UGA tough. The dawgs have a very solid D. The mental collapse at the end of the game cannot happen down the line. I’m excited for this season. I think this is legit
