College Football Week 8

Even on the TD he just threw, he threw it to the wrong side of a guy that was wide open. WIDE open.

Pitt and Louisville tied 7-7 at the half. Pitt with three turnovers in the first half.
Ron Jr. works at Pitt and is attending the game in an official capacity hosting a tailgate for Pitt alumni. He is not a big sports fan so to talk about the game he got some pointers from ultimate Pitt football fan, my mother, who literally turned 87 years old this week. Heck, SHE had to tell ME what channel to find the game on.

Clifford with a great throw this time under pressure and a great catch also.
Penn st up now 24-10

Nice throw and better catch. Nice play all around.

I don’t agree with the DPI call against Minnesota, although it was definitely defensive holding at the very least. Still an automatic first down.

This is the first game PSu really opened up the offense. To this point they had been forcing the run game. Tonight they completed some throws downfield and then funny how the defense then has to back off and the run game gets easier. Maybe Canada can make a note.

MInnesota's run game is similar to MIchigan's. Tonight you see Penn State's defense playing like a team. Must have been a rough week of practice

I heard there's about 100 recruits at the game for PSU.

In the new college football transfer rules, I'm not sure Penn State will be able to keep both Singleton and Allen. Honestly, I'm thinking I would keep Allen.

Oregon must stop with their uni’s. The ones they wore against UCLA were black with bright pink and yellow. God awful.

I love it Ron, I have an Aunt who is close to 80 and she is a BIG Green Bay fan. She owns a share and uses it for all it's liberties ect.. She votes and attends meetings when elgible, for share holders. When we see each other she always wants to talk football and she is sharp. Not being a STEELERS fan she still can break this team down better than 50% of those here.

I just hope I'm that spry when I'm at that age.!

Salute the nation

That bye week sure played UGA tuff yesterday.
Not sure how Kirby can overcome that

Unfortunately, the effort was pathetic. Last year was an anomaly, back to .500 seasons. Why does that sound familiar?

Because Kenny Pickett is playing for the Steelers now. :towel:

In some ways this was worse than the Georgia Tech loss. Louisville was not good last night. I don't know if the Steelers or Pitt is worse on offense. Both OC's are completely overmatched and out of touch with today's game.

i'd be shocked if one of them transferred. They are both freshmen. They committed to PSU aware of the other. It's pretty easy to use 2 RBs. I think most of these kids now prefer to split duties at RB because having a ton of carries in college becomes a negative in the draft. Now if they had a big time #3 RB, he'd be gone. In fact, their #4 RB left already and maybe a few other depth RBs will leave but I think those top 2 aren't going anywhere.

PSU needs a real deep threat WR in the portal. Washington and Tinsley are good but they're possession guys. They do have a bunch of young WRs with upside but so far none have stepped up.

I'm guessing Auburn's coach will be gone. I'd love to see PSU recruit a few of their DL. Auburn kids played in a white out last year so they may have a positive view of PSU.

I agree they need a deep threat to stretch the field, but Clifford can't throw a deep ball worth a crap.

Clifford isn't great at deep balls but Allar is. With Allar set to start next year, and the RBs they have, Penn State should be attractive to portal WRs.
