Yep. Tom Allen isn’t impressive as a DC. They gave up 8 yards a carry at USC. Oh and the OL has been absolute trash so far.

The whole D has been a no show. They aren’t getting pressure and without it Tom Allen’s defense is mid at best.

I agree they aren’t #3, regardless how this game turns out. I put them around 7 or 8 before this game. They lose, they are maybe top 15. Penn State just refuses to be great.

my boy Haulcy gets a pick with just over a minute left in a tie game - UH was able to drive down and kick a 43 yard field goal to send Utah home unhappy

that is the free safeties 4th pick on the season

I'm glad to eat crow on Pribula. I still think Allar is better but Pribula shows he can make the difficult throws as well. They had to be perfectly healthy to compete with OSU next week, though. Still think it will be over early.

He seems to have a quicker release. And he is a better runner than Allar. I have always thought if he got the chance he would be pretty good.

They somehow pulled it off. Still think they aren’t the 3rd best team in the country. Too much nonsense in that team’s game every week.

The second half wake-up will bite PSU next week. They will probably be down 10-14 points at halftime next week but the Buckeyes are not the team you can mount comebacks against. Might not be a bad thing to have QB questions next week on who is playing but I have zero confidence Franklin pulls out a win regardless.

Same story, play like crap in the 1st half then dominate the 2nd. I have no idea why they start so slow.

There's at least some excuse this week because they had a bunch of in game injuries. They lost their starting QB, RT, DE, and CB and still won the game going away on the road.

Nick Singleton is clearly not 100%. He's still decent but he doesn't have his usual explosion.

The WRs still suck. They are almost never open. Everything has to be a tight window throw. They should play Chris Godwin next week. With his foot in a cast, he'd still get open better than any of the Penn State Wrs.

It hasn't been pretty this year but at least they are winning these games. Lots of other big name teams have played stinkers.

Penn State is now almost a lock for a playoff spot even if they lose to Ohio State. That's all that matters. Get healthy, keep improving and make a run in the playoff.

Ohio State isn't exactly killing it. Both their RBs were under 3 per carry vs Nebraska. They were 1-10 on 3rd down. Nebraska had the ball for 35 minutes.

This is Penn State's best shot to beat Ohio State in years. It's a home game and OSU is not clicking. Ryan Day may have more pressure on him than Franklin in this one. If OSU loses, they will be on the playoff bubble and they still have games vs Indian and Michigan. Day's seat could start getting warm and if they miss the playoff, I think it's possible he could get fired if OSU can lure a big name coach.

Ohio States offensive line is in shambles and Ryan Day is probably the most overrated coach in college football. I’m not sure what the money line is on this game right now, but if OSU is somehow favored or it’s even, bet on PSU. I’m sure the investors are super pissed right now at OSU. I’d be. But Ryan Day isn’t the answer. Urban Meyer should’ve never been allowed to basically hand-pick him as his successor.
