I can't e en enjoy BACON this morning
I was stupid and watched the entire game.
That's what Ive been saying this is painful but highly necessary. I dont think it will be this year but probably next. I wouldn't let him.draft a QB just to get one though.
Thats the real long term danger. That's what Ive been saying this is painful but highly necessary. I dont think it will be this year but probably next. I wouldn't let him.draft a QB just to get one though.
Well....I retired Sept. 5th and one of the benefits I thought was....I was stupid and watched the entire game.
And that's harsh because he never was a good coach, he inherited EVERYTHING, great coaches, great roster, great culture.
As those pieces aged out, so did this team looking anything like the Steelers. Alot use to get pissed when people would say that he inherited everything, but it's impossible to deny that now, having watched this team go from being a legit team that had Super Bowl thoughts to a team that just hopes to stay above .500 then get historically embarrassed in the playoffs.
Funny how Brad was crucified over that statement while Tomlin has done little to nothing to disprove it.I’m so over this organization! It’s the same **** year after year with this coach. All hat an no cattle!
He has zero ability in building a championship caliber team. Cannot hire competent coaches. Cannot make adjustments. Poor game management. Poor player development. Poor, predictable defensive schemes. Most overrated coach in all of sports.
A glorified cheerleader as Terry Bradshaw said years ago.
We’ve become the laughingstock of the sports world much like the Pirates. Nice ******* job Art!
Great. They are all over ten years late, though.Funny how Brad was crucified over that statement while Tomlin has done little to nothing to disprove it.
I cheered when he brought in talent instead of hoping " the Steeler way" would work ( which is drafting and developing your team in house) as it did years ago. This is also not working out. At some point you have to point at the common denominator...the staff.
And now you are seeing the talking heads both ex jock and others blaming Tomlin.
Everyone is starting to get it, or can no longer defend it. Rodney Harrison in particular scorched them with some damn good points.
"They still do the same G----- s--- [as] when I was playing Tomlin's defense," Edelman said. "I'm like, 'We still have linebackers covering the three slot?’ Every time we play Steelers, I have at least nine catches. You would think that they would change it but no, they do what they do."
I was stupid and watched the entire game.
And Ben before that, I'd throw Boz in there as masking some too, they lose to the Jets without Boz.There were people who said "Tomlin deserves to have his own defense" and "Tomlin deserves to have his own quarterback" and gave him leeway for those reasons. Hasn't worked out too well. They'd be crazy to trust him with selecting the next QB after the Mason Pickett Trubisky fiasco.
Rodgers is masking to some degree how bad the bottom has really fallen out.

Of course BA and LeBeau carried Tomlin to the two SBs. That’s given! That along with a young franchise QB and a loaded, experienced roster made Tomlin look so much better than he ever actually was.Specifically from a coaching standpoint, it's become apparent that Dick Lebeau and Bruce Arians carried Tomlin to those Superbowls.
No way this coach is the one who orchestrated those teams to any significant extent.
Tomlin has basically regressed into Marvin Lewis over the past decade, and we used to mock and poke fun at the Bengals' refusal to fire him all those years.
4 out of 7 games the Def has allowed over 30 points.... And people are yapping about needing a #2 WR before the trade deadline?? The Def is a dumpster fire...
Next 6 QBs on the schedule :
Dan Jones
Justin Herbert
Joe Flacco
Caleb Williams
Josh Allen
Lamar Jackson
It feels like 4-9 after the next 6 weeks is a very likely scenario...
I read where TS want to run it back next year with Rodgers. That will not happen as he'll want nothing to do with this franchise after this season.Thats the real long term danger.
Screwing up a QB drafted in Round 1 sets a franchise back 4 years minimum and Mike Tomlin has no business choosing or coaching a 1st round QB, he will shackle him with a caveman offense and ruin him
They’re almost certainly drafting one, this is where the owner of the team needs to look in the mirror and put his pride aside and move on from a failed HC, Rooney probably won’t
Rodgers is the only reason we don’t have 0-2 wins only at this point, when he’s gone the bottom will fall out of this team and the suck will swallow a young QB alive if Tomlin is allowed to continue as HC
A disciplined roster that knew how to block and tackle.Of course BA and LeBeau carried Tomlin to the two SBs. That’s given! That along with a young franchise QB and a loaded, experienced roster made Tomlin look so much better than he ever actually was.
Anyone denying that is not being honest.
