I'm pretty sure that a great coach would figure out some way, schematically, to not be completely dependent on a single defensive player's injury status. No, but I'm pretty sure Tomlin injured TJ Watt so he couldn't play half the year...![]()

That's a Tomlinism. He's said it before. lolTomlin needs to start consulting TJ Watt for some good Tomlinisms. Watt's "throwing his face in the fan" comment about Robinson was perfect.

With that one, I believe it's his preferred method of cutting eyelids off. Just make them throw their face in the fan.Damn it Jim, I can't remember them all.![]()
Not one of us on this board know .000000000001% of what Tomlin knows regarding running an NFL team. Many of us here thought that Bush was not starting material this season, yet Tomlin continued to start him for 15 weeks. Many of us also thought that Robinson deserved a chance to play much sooner. It only took the head coach almost 4 months to figure that out.
Just curious: Did Tomlin have anything to do with the Steelers losing 6 out of their first 8?

Did you mean ruining an NFL team?? .....lol just couldn't resist BlitzNot one of us on this board know .000000000001% of what Tomlin knows regarding running an NFL team.
it is comical to me that we think we know more than any NFL coach. Even that guy in Denver who just got fired could Hackett more than any of usDid you mean ruining an NFL team?? .....lol just couldn't resist Blitz
When you have a DPOY caliber player on your D, you feel the loss when they aren't playing. You think Reed is a replacement for TJ? Not even close...I'm pretty sure that a great coach would figure out some way, schematically, to not be completely dependent on a single defensive player's injury status.![]()
Steelers just continuing their tradition of losing games in which TJ Watt does not play or leaves early. When you have a DPOY caliber player on your D, you feel the loss when they aren't playing. You think Reed is a replacement for TJ? Not even close...

No! We know Better! just because we dont go to training camp every day, practice every day, do this for a living, we can automatically know what players should start, what plays to call, what schemes to plan for. TJ out? plug in the other guy. no problem. It is VERY hard to account for these kind of players absence on the field. NO team has that kind of depth caliber and can’t afford to As they’d be playing.
If you think about it, no team even has that caliber starters arguably.
I’d expect a drop off and I’m sure the STEELERS know better than anyone else of how to try and cover that hole in his absence. It’s a hell of a lot harder to mask than many here realize and NOT to create another hole to cover the first. (Like put two players to cover the single responsibility, always blitzing from that side…..etc.)

I should not have said we. I cannot. I dont know enough to run a NFL team unlike a few of us on here. I can watch a game with the best of them. I played football for 7 years so I know the basics but nothing on the level of an NFL coach or SN poster.I forgot, you are the exception………………. Well, me too!!!!!!!!!!!

Really? That's a lot of zeros, bro.Not one of us on this board know .000000000001% of what Tomlin knows regarding running an NFL team.
Bro, perhaps i might have exaggerated the zeros to get the point made. BroReally? That's a lot of zeros, bro.
No doubt. When you have a DPOY caliber player on your D, you feel the loss when they aren't playing. You think Reed is a replacement for TJ? Not even close...
Yeah, you just might have, bro. Just slightly, bro.Bro, perhaps i might have exaggerated the zeros to get the point made. Bro

Hyperbole is one thing, but now you're just talking stupidly, bro..0000001% is more accurate
He was making a funny, based on the other funny post.Hyperbole is one thing, but now you're just talking stupidly, bro.
Seriously. you are a pretty smart person. everyone can pick up on that. But there is no way you know anything close to coaching an NFL team than the absolute worst coach in NFL history. Including Jeff Saturday. BroHyperbole is one thing, but now you're just talking stupidly, bro.
Exactly. There are a couple keystone players on this team with a huge drop off if they can't play. On D, we can't replace Heyward or Watt. Fitz is amazing, but KZ had a fantastic game starting for him.It is VERY hard to account for these kind of players absence on the field. NO team has that kind of depth caliber and can’t afford to As they’d be playing.
