Looks like a broken collarbone to me. This year is jinxed

Best case, AC sprain, Out a month?

Trade Tomlin to Wash for 1st and 2nd rd picks, tank for Chase Young lol

Why did Tomlin keep Conner in the game so late?

Stupid. When the game is all but over you take an injury prone guy out.

That injury could have happened at any time, Snell got injured and Samuels was a no go. If Conner was lingering an injury I would have been against him playing but yesterday there was no reason to sit him

That stuff can happen on any play. We've been super ****** on closing out games. Everyone else was injured.

Conner gives 100% on every play. You can see the amount of energy he expends. If Snell wouldn't have hurt his knee I'm sure they would've let him carry the rock more and gave Conner some rest.

I'm just happy the defense got it done in the 4th quarter. They need to be 60 minute men and not 45.

Conners shoulder seemed to be bothering him earlier too... I don’t think there was much of an option other than don’t let your team come out flat as usual against a terrible team and maybe at that point you are up 27 points and can afford to let a 4 th or 5th rb close out the game

Jesus christ Snell was already out with a knee and the other back is Edmunds. One fumble and score it's a one score game.. do some research before posting. By the way Jaylen Samuel's practiced in full all last week. Held out last nite for precautionary measures. Give his knee another week

I have no problem with James playing that late to close out the game. As someone pointed out, injuries happen at all times within a game. His style of running always increases the odds of injury, the guy takes a beating.

I have to defend Tomlin here, I can't believe I'm doing this but I see why he left him in to clearly close out the game since he had no other options available other than Trey Edmund's.

Because he knew cooch needed something to make a post about today.

Our tweedle dum coach doesn’t help much. Conner should have been out of that game when the injury happened. Why risk the injury? I hope the media AsksTomlin this question.

We won 3 games so far. Two came vs winless teams.

I'm not sure when everyone decided the really good nfl players can't play the game, cause they might get hurt, but that's bullshit. It's football, you're not going to win with a roster full of china dolls. Guys get hurt, that's the way it goes, it doesn't mean they shouldn't be in the game. Why have them on the ******* roster if you're going to pull them out when you're trying to close out a game? **** that ****, play em 60 mins, if they can't go 60, making millions of dollars, **** em, draft people who can.

So Coach I’d like to ask you a question with all due respect, but why are you even here on this sight. Your posts always seem to have a negative connotation to them and very rarely do you seem well, happy about the Steelers. And you appear to be very self serving where you have to be always right pushing your opinion and everyone is wrong.
I mean for the most part you hate our draft selections, F/A signings, ownership, coaching (which I agree with that one), our games even when we won. If we’re that ****** up then why do you follow the black n’ gold? Is there anything you do like about the Steelers?

...and we lost 2 games to undefeated teams. The other 2 losses came against teams with only 2 losses, by a combined deficit of 5 points.

I get it they are losses, but we lost our franchise QB, plus others, and have found a way to fight in every game (sans week 1).

I'm not throwing in the towel and am excited to see what we bring against Indy.

Go Steelers!

well he's not on IR yet

James Conner still being evaluated, will be limited to start practice week

Tomlin said at his press conference that Conner is still being evaluated for what was termed an AC joint injury immediately after the game. That makes it too soon to draw any conclusions about his availability for Week Nine, but Tomlin did concede that the injury is “going to limit him early in the week.”

Benny Snell hurt his knee on Monday, but there is some good injury news in the Pittsburgh backfield. The team expects Jaylen Samuels will be ready to play against the Colts after missing the last two games while recovering from a knee scope.

In non-running back injury news, Tomlin said that left guard Ramon Foster is in the concussion protocol and that center Maurkice Pouncey is dealing with a calf injury.

Great point. Tomlin should have had Samuels carrying the ball in the 4th quarter. [Friend texts Steeltime.]

Oh, okay, whatever. Tomlin should have had Snell handle the load in the 4th. [Same friend texts Steeltime again, this time a bit more caustic.]

Uhhh, yeah, uhhm, okay. Well I would feel great if the coach had the 4th ******* string RB in the game. Hey, what about the 4th string QB as well? Paxton Lynch and whoever the 4th string RB is, yeah, that's the ticket!!
