Yes, I know that SNF game is Sunday night, the real question is “When’s Sunday Night and who’s Calendar do I use”

Fried Cabbage

1- chopped head of cabbage (or as much as how many you are feeding)
—————————————-(NOTE: you can use pre-chopped coleslaw cabbage as well)
2- Bell Peppers diced (different colors)
1-8oz Rotel (drained)
1- Steamable carrots (cook by direction)
1- diced whole onion
2- Mushroom bits & pieces (2-4oz can drained, I love mushrooms but these can be left out)
1- Italian sausage / breakfast sausage / bacon (1” pieces) / canned meat / anything that fancies your taste and the amount you want to satisfy your tastes, I keep the healthy eating in mind. (Pre-cook the meat & drain / wash as you see fit)

1) Using Olive oil or similar (I use avocado oil, some use butter), add in the cabbage and medium high temp.. Put lid on and stir occasionally.
2) Shortly 5-8 min. add onion
3) About 1/2 cooked add peppers / rotel / mushrooms
4) It’s ok to brown / slighty burn the cabbage while cooking, it adds to the overall flavor
5) near complete add the carrots / meat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring accordingly.

NOtE: You can add most any kind of spice while cooking. I add a little red pepper as I like the spice bite.

SERVE and enjoy

THIS is a relatively simple and healthy (except meat part) dish. It’s filling / easy to make / and can focus on game while cooking.

Have at is Peoples and what are you cooking up for SNF ?

My neighbor and I always share a pig and cow. Every year. Picking up Saturday morning so the possibilities are endless. Think I decided on Booyah. Will use stew meat from pig and cow.

So...

I've finally put my menu together for tomorrow night since I survived Saturday...

I'll be eatin' RASTA PASTA!!!

The Ingredients

  • Chicken – either cooked or raw. Whatever you have on hand works. I usually use leftover rotisserie chicken.
  • Bell peppers – I like to use red, yellow, and green bell peppers but it depends on what I have available.
  • Pasta – use any type of small pasta. I like to use penne, fusilli, or bow-tie pasta.
  • Green onions – or scallions. Optional but they give a lovely flavor to the dish.
  • Jerk seasoning – homemade or store-bought, just make sure that it’s a really good one. Low-quality jerk seasoning will result in bland tasting sauce and pasta.
  • Heavy cream and parmesan cheese – These 2 ingredients will make your pasta sauce super creamy and delicious!
  • Garlic, oil and vegetable stock

Coolie will give you "jerk seasoning".

I'm ordering pizza from a local joint who hails from Palermo Sicily and then I plan on listening to Vince Guaraldi whilst sipping on a nice Macallen and reading The Sun Also Rises. You see, I choose to enjoy my evenings, thank you.

I see my evening going in several directions.

1) the path of the berm : Breaking things
2) the Lunar road : trailer court is just 500ft away
3) the slash estate : sit at home enjoy the game
4) the Badcat debical : read / write / arithmetic
5) the BLITZ : arranging freezer for beef & hog
6) the Coolie : fantasizing about the Lunar trailer park girl
7) the Steelmann : swimming / freezing his balls off
8) the Djfan : rubbing MIL’s feet while sharpening hunting knives
9) the Kentuckian : divorcing my sister and marrying my aunt

10) the DIC : Celebrating an astounding game of coaching supremacy with record setting play.

Combine the choices. Take the beef/hog to the trailer park gals and break their TVs.
