Coolie tries again to Replace Drunk Cope

damn you ask good questions

well the Doublewood from Balvine I'm drinking now is solid
also the balcones brimstone..very good, very complex drink...not for the faint of heart
Yellow Rose out of houston has an excellent blended whiskey and their Rye is awesome and reasonably priced
They also put out a special bottle aged in Mezcal barrells....pricey at about $120 but damn it is smooth
Knob Creek is always good but a cheeper brand - Bulleit Boubon is good also and the Rye is excellent
Buffalo Trace is solid
found one by Giant Distillers that is bottled in a UH theme that I haven't opened yet
Stryker turned me on to 6th street Rye which is very good also and a Basil Hayden Toasted Rye which is very good

Yellow Rose is solid... that Basil Hayden rye is outright dangerous, lol... I like the buffalo traces and onob creeks too... i probably have 20 new whiskeys at my house waiting to try out because I am a hige slacker plus i typically just hit the normal stuff like Jack Daniels or Beam most of the time...

I cant bring myself to waste money on Van Winkle or anything at that level... I hear its fantastic... but it seems like a waste to go above a grand for a bottle just to drink it... I have a 200 dollar bottle of Blanton's that pretty much caps what I'm willing to spend... i might go slightly over that for a great scotch for a special occasion

IDK, both of those guys in their prime, assuming they had one, might be better than the current QB room.

Give Will Howard just a little time, might surprise us.!!!

Salute the nation
