Have been reading some stories on the possibility that Tomlin may be a possible hire for the Giants.
The stories point out the closeness between the Maras who own the Giants and the Rooney’s and that it’s not far fetched that a trade could be worked out between the two after the season.
Put this together with recent stories coming out of Steelerland that ownership is growing nervous and impatient.
My contention is if they completely miss the playoffs that would be nine years and counting without a win, could that be enough to shake Art to make such a move?
Geez, think about this! They’ve got the second oldest roster in the league. They rank near the bottom in both offense and defense. They have the highest paid defense the past four seasons by 30 million.
The Giants have a young roster with a young star QB and WR and plenty of other good young players.
If they offered their first and second for Tomlin to go along with the Steelers’ 12 picks, it would go a long way in rebuilding this roster. Then you hire a bright young modern head coach to mold this team into a competitive and exciting team.
We all know how this season will end already with this team.
Why not end this nightmare if they have the chance this off season.
Everyone for the most part here seems tired of the wash, rinse, repeat cycle year after year.
Time for.a brand new washing machine that makes the closes fresh with only one cycle.

I’m all for it, but even the Giants aren’t fools-no way we get a first round draft pick for Tomlin.

I for one would like to see this happen.

My discrepancy is that I don’t think art 2 will relinquish the Tomlin until Art is ready to step down. I think that recent contract extension mirrors that step down date.

If that holds true, Young Dan will have a big hand in the next coaching hire. Make no mistake though that if Art 2 steps down,…… he will have a big hand in the next coaching hire as well.

They may consider end of season “HOT” seat, and trade/fire pending on how low this season goes. I could see a major slide happening with maybe just 1 or 2 wins rest of season combined with more blow-out losses.

Salute the nation

If I’m the NYG/Maras and I saw the debacle that Tomlin orchestrated a few years ago with Kenny Pickett, I would steer clear of Tomlin being the head coach of Dart.

yeah, but Schoen is pulling the strings at this point. Firing Daboll was covering his own ***, somehow. Daboll wanted Dart and Schoen signed off on it, saying Dart was Daboll's choice and not his.

Schoen may see Mr Never Had A Losing Season as the savior the Giants want and need.

I concur. He IS who they want and need.

Just send us the airfare and moving expense receipt. @Steeltime will cover it.

Been reading ALL the same articles.
But let's insert Dancing Daffy Duck right........HERE.
Yes, we can all dream like lil' Orphan Annie and Dorothy Gale.
But the sun ain't comin' out tomorrow, because Scarecrow Tomlin lacks brains and Lion Rooney lacks courage.

They are talking about this on the Fan in Pittsburgh, saying one of the most respected sports writers in NY has wrote that Tomlin is/will be a candidate for the position.

He wrote that the Giants should hire Tomlin and it will have to be Tomlin leading the discussion to leave Pittsburgh. While he may be respected, he's just a columnist and is just sharing his opinion.

Really? Seriously? Is this click bait? Please just keep it real here. Stop the fake news click bait. When I read the story on the homepage I laughed. Now someone here actually started a thread. Well I guess. Since we are living in make believe at the moment. Let's ask for a #1 pick for every Tomlinship we have gotten with Tomlin. Seems fair to me. Get it done Omar!!!!!!

Billy and his 24 year old girlfriend would absolutely get fried by the NY Media.
For that matter so would Shades!
But Shades wife is fashion designer! They would love her bring those fancy The Standard is The Standard tshirts into Blue/White:
