Could the NY Giants be a possible option?

Dude, it’s all the Pittsburgh radio stations have been talking about Tuesday.
The NY Times had a story on it!
Several NFL analysts have been talking about it.
You must be from Wilmerding! There’s no Winkys in Wilmerding!

Now New York...

Regardless of what the rabble here think, Tomlin is worth at least a first, maybe more...

For all those "the players matter more than the coach" people this kind of free asset acquisition is a no brainer.
For tge good Coaches matter too much to let them
Go crowd.. well if his coaching is a reflection of tge piss poor results of late, a first is a wonderful return on what is a failing investment

He’s talked about in the national sports media like he’s the second coming of Vince Lombardi, Chuck Noll, Bill Walsh, Tom Landry, and Don Shula.
We should feel honored he’s our head coach and we’re lucky to have him.
I would think one of the greatest coaches of all time can at least garner a first round pick.

Geez, think about this! They’ve got the second oldest roster in the league. They rank near the bottom in both offense and defense. They have the highest paid defense the past four seasons by 30 million.
The Giants have a young roster with a young star QB and WR and plenty of other good young players.
If they offered their first and second for Tomlin to go along with the Steelers’ 12 picks, it would go a long way in rebuilding this roster. Then you hire a bright young modern head coach to mold this team into a competitive and exciting team.
We all know how this season will end already with this team.
Why not end this nightmare if they have the chance this off season.
Everyone for the most part here seems tired of the wash, rinse, repeat cycle year after year.
Time for.a brand new washing machine that makes the closes fresh with only one cycle.

So we're expecting them to offer picks for Tomlin? We don't have to send picks to them to have them take him off our hands? GET IT DONE!!!
 
The thing is, you KNOW he hears the noise, I mean his son Dino was blowing up social media trying to defend his dumbassery...

And he has a bit of an ego... so maybe he wants to bail.. especially if he blows a 3game division lead and doesnt win it...

Agreed, just pointing out that it's just not us fans here in Pittsburgh talking about it.
 
Tomlin should relish a chance to prove his coaching acumen would handle such a rigorous undertaking as reviving a once glorious franchise. You know, since he's so well-respected throughout the league and is such a pfucking mensa.

and, he could even dust off his Tomlinisms that he's retired.

This is a Steeler message board and we posters post stuff concerning the team. It’s news whether there’s any possibility of it happening or not, it’s news.
The NY Times, NY Post have articles about Tomlin being the perfect fit.
What would you rather talk about, how ****** up of a mess this team continues to be?
Or maybe we should all be holding vidual for another Tomlinism. Geez!
 
The only way Art does this is if the Giants/whoever pay for his contract. The Steelers wouldn't even eat Matt Canada's contract - they just don't flush money like that. As to whether or not it happens...i sincerely doubt it. Tomlin has a free pass from Art.
 
I can tell you, not seeing any fervor in NY for this to happen.

I would be very surprised if it did.

Absolutely no apology necessary. I’m fine with your criticism. I was just saying it’s been the news the last two days but never said it would happen.
Is is clickbait? Probably but it’s fun to talk about and we can at least wish it.
Stillwright, once again, no apology ever necessary. This board does not ruffle my feathers, ever.
It’s just a bunch of guys and I suppose some gals giving their opinions, insights, frustration.

One thing I always love is though most of us want him gone, but tgen want like a first and a second. If you actually want a first and a second.....you shouldn't want him gone.
