Floggy got zeself some jail time
Some Vermonters who are able to find antigen tests and then test positive are clogging up emergency rooms.
The emergency department at the Rutland Regional Medical Center has been overwhelmed with asymptomatic folks.
Dr. Rick Hildebrant is RRMC’s medical director. He says some people who test positive with a rapid test go to the emergency room looking for a PCR test.
The Vermont Hospital Association says it’s hearing similar stories from other parts of the state…
…“It’s not so much the beds that are the precious resource, it’s the staff at this time. So we have to have some of our clinical staff providing care to those people and they can’t provide care to the folks in the ER,” Hildebrant explained.
It's already been proven the 6 feet of social distancing was bullshit. It was a hope/prayer approach. Studies have shown Covid can remain airborne for a long, long time. 6 feet does nothing. Except keep people 'in line'
Pretty sad world we live in. Those not sick, but scared sick of Covid, are filling up ERs (primarily in heavily vaxed states), keeping the healthy from care they need.
I had to visit the ER last week for non-Covid-related issues. Talking to the nurse, he said he worked triage the day before. He alone handled 35 patients who showed up scared they had Covid. 2 did. Said they are overwhelmed.

The Chickens of the Collective Psychosis of COVID Hysteria Come Home to Roost
This is wholly the fault of the baseless fear-mongering of Democrats and the national media.redstate.com
News out of Vermont paints a bleak picture of just how harmful the collective psychosis of COVID hysteria is, a phenomenon that seems isolated to heavily Democrat areas.
For years, fear-mongering from the government and national media has pushed people to detach themselves from reality when it comes to assessing risk profiles regarding the coronavirus. That’s now playing out in the form of completely asymptomatic individuals rushing to jam up emergency rooms in Vermont. Though, as we’ll see, this is hardly limited to the Green Mountain State.
This isn’t the overwhelming of hospitals we were promised by the left. Rather, it’s the exact opposite, with people who aren’t even sick showing up to take resources away because they’ve been convinced that COVID is still highly deadly for 45-year-olds in good health. Even older people who are asymptomatic should not be going to the ER. Rather, they should live their life. Unless they actually get sick, what is there to treat?
Yet, the cynical move by Democrats to cause so much fear around COVID has pushed a large segment of the population into what can only be called some form of mental illness. Get a load of these responses I chronicled a few days ago and tell me we don’t have a problem on our hands.
Meanwhile, in the blue bastion that is New York City, the police are having to be called in because people are mobbing COVID testing centers. Why they are doing so is anyone’s guess.
I’m going to make a generalized statement that may not be true in every single case but is certainly true in most cases: If you are healthy enough to go join a mob of people begging for free COVID tests, then you are healthy enough to not need a COVID test. The testing of asymptomatic and extremely mild cases of the coronavirus serves no legitimate purpose. And how many people who weren’t even infected are now infected for interacting with that crowd?
This stuff needs to stop, and it’s not going to stop until Democrats from the president on down start telling the truth about the risks of COVID for different demographics. Take another look at that picture in the Post’s article. Many of those people look to be under 50, and none of them appear to be suffering from a debilitating illness. Yet, they are acting as if someone is handing out solid gold bars. It’s insanity and completely unnecessary.
Lastly, given the apparent mildness of Omicron, which is quickly becoming the dominant variant in the United States, rushing to get tested while presenting no symptoms becomes an even dumber move. Yet, the White House is now going to send out tests direct to households anyway. What’s that going to do to emergency rooms, when a rush of “positive” tests starts happening and people freak out?
All of this was and is preventable, but it would require having people with actual leadership skills at the top instead of a bunch of cowards mostly concerned with covering their own backsides. Thus, the hysteria will continue. It’s too important to the left’s cause.
Not vaccinated here. So, I got hit again with another illness. On Thursday, started coughing pretty good. Woke up Saturday with a low grade fever around 100. Fever broke pretty quickly, Saturday afternoon. Still coughing and snotting around today.
Tried to get in for another COVID-19 test, none available. No home tests available at any of the local drugstores/retailers. So I don't know what the hell I have, but that's twice in a month.
Not sure what's going on. Usually I get this **** once a year. Very rarely get sick. Since I got fully vaccinated in February, I have had some form of respiratory illness 4 or 5 times since.
Have an appointment with my doctor on Wednesday for my regular 6 month Check up. Since they'll be drawing blood, I am going to request a blood test to see if I have covid antibodies of any kind.
Tired of getting sick every other month. Curious as to what is going on.
Let natural immunity run its course. It’s kinda freaky losing taste and smell but I wound up fine. I’m sure a lot of us have mild casesI'm not vaxed. I recovered from COVID about 2 months ago...still got about 2-4 months of antibody power left, according to what I've read.
Don't really know what the **** to do, get vaxed or not to get vaxed.

If they actually roll out Novavax here in the U.S., I don't think I'd be against it (traditional vaccine method) - just all of these infections in people who've been fully vaxxed has me leery.
And if you've recently had Covid, your natural immunity lasts a lot longer than 2-4 months.
they have no clue... they try to test antibody levels and guestimate. They started saying a month then it was three then six... when I got out of the hospital they said eight months, but I had nurses who were operating on natural immunity that had gotten the illness early in the pandemic and were well over a year... the studies that ran or are still running found 11-12 months but they only ran for 11-12 months... other viruses similar to cv19, like SARS, had immunity tests that showed up to 17 years of protection...Somewhere I read that it was 6 months max.
But I like the 5yr number much better!.... according to this site:
- For people who recover from COVID-19, immunity to the coronavirus can last about 3 months to 5 years, research shows.

How Long Does Immunity Last After COVID-19? What We Know
Here’s what we currently know about how long people may be immune after they recover from COVID-19 or get the vaccine.www.healthline.com
Sarge could be what they call a covid long hauler. I don’t think he should worry too much. Still best to get checked out though. Keep us posted Sarge my best wished and prayers sent your wayYeah, doesn't sound right Sarge. And you don't strike me as having changed your health habits in one year that would cause you to get all these respiratory issues all of a sudden. I've heard Zinc, vitamin D and C, a good probiotic and NAC are about the best preventative measures until you actually get it and then should be taking a good therapeutic if you have serious symptoms.
My 70-year old dad takes them every day religiously and hasn't had so much as a sniffle.
