Our nephew who spent Christmas Even with us texted yesterday that he has covid. Mr. OFTB woke up with mild cold symptoms today. He tested positive, the rest of us have no symptoms and tested negative. He had J&J, we had Moderna and Pfizer. He's isolating in our room, hopefully we won't get it but we'll see.
True. I wonder if he even realizes he ***** himself at this point or just thinks he's sitting on a new super soft loveseat or sofa they got for him?
Just genuinely curious, how did he find out so quickly he tested positive and what test did yinz take?
Hope he feels better soon. Fortunately this new variant seems to be posing minor symptoms to the vast majority of people, and stay well OFTB. Keep us posted.

And again, why would you defriend someone on a social media platform because the guy he wanted to be POTUS won, only to troll the site he moderates constantly - and then continually make accusations of their members being crybabies, comparing them to children dealing with trauma and mental disorders?

All I heard for fours years was crying, whimpering & "The walls are closing in! Any day now! He's a Nazi! He's not mentally stable, he needs the 25th invoked! He's subverting American democracy!" We took a home rapid antigen test. They had a massive pile of them at our local CVS for some reason. He was the only one with symptoms and the only positive test. He took a second one just to make sure.
Thanks, mild cold symptoms only so far. I'm a little worried as my friend is still in ICU and Mr. OFTB is a tad overweight. But everything I'm hearing is it should be mild. He had covid exactly one year ago pre-vaccine as 4 out of 5 of us did.

I know, my sister is in a suburb of NYC and they can't find them anywhere. I have heard several of the CVS stores near us have tons. Don't know why.
Yeah, same around these parts - nothing.
And I didn't mean to like your post as having a friend in the ICU is scary and 4 out of 5 of you having it before is also not good, just glad to hear it's minor cold symptoms so far. You know what I mean. And if he had it before and did okay, I think the chances of him having an even easier time this go-round is highly likely just based on the variant.

Same here. Hell, you can't even get an appointment anywhere to get a test of any kind, and the drive up test sites are overwhelmed to say the least.

I was able to get a drive up test appointment but not til 12/30.
Yeah I guess some areas are just much more overwhelmed with people getting Colds/Covid and I think there's a little overreaction going on. Thank god our MSM and medical experts don't egg on the panic.
