Cowboys are cutting Washington

not sure he will make the team after the Steelers draft Tank Dell
I really don't know why I looked up which team this kid played for. Buuuuuuut. With a name like Tank he can play on the Steelers as far as I'm concerned. I didn't coach on our U16 provincial team, but apparently they had a LB named Nitro. Real name.

PS

I really liked him when he was here but just couldn’t get the production to stick.

The two are pretty similar. I would guess Dell is probably an early day three guy. Similar knocks for size with Dell getting the win overall there. But CA3 wins in speed and route tree. If we dump Gunner maybe we can keep both and have Dell return punts.
while my post was just a bit facetious....they are similar players But Dell did have better college stats. Over 1300 yards the last two seasons with 12 then 17 TDs

He may last until day three because of his size, but right now I am guessing he will be a 3rd round pick

CA3 is likely a step faster, but Dell has plenty of speed and is shifty as hell once he gets the ball. I'm not going to argue the route tree point, but Dell is damn good out of the slot and was also successful at UH when lined up out wide.

Gunner should likely be gone so maybe both of them can coexist on this team....especially with Dell being able to return punts

yes, I only pimp UH players. If I do post about a kid from somewhere else I always post the school.

Thanks Coolie, great insight and appreciated.

EDIT: Could be a cheap fix at getting WR

Washington was a player you wanted to succeed, he just couldn't put it together for us. I know some thought the Steelers weren't giving him a chance and he would produce outside of Pittsburgh. Apparently that wasn't the case.

One of the knocks on Washington was a limited route tree… i just don’t think we try to expand these guys outside of what they did in college… like with Wallace… he ran like what 3 routes… in a modern offense there are like 27 variations of complex patterns… at best our guys utilize the old 9 route flower pattern routes…once you are 5 years into your nfl career, it’s kind of up to him to expand his repertoire on his own… for tge most part, those nfl coaches ain’t doing that

Rather look in the draft Dell Houston 17 TD 12.8 1400 yds 12.8 avg.
Late rounds Ronnie Bell better version of Washington faster better blocker n big play ability

So Juju reports Steeler lack of coaching, Bears say that Claypool doesn't know how to run routes, and Washington does nothing with another team. There is a pattern here, and if I am in the Steeler FO, or ownership, I demand a better quality WR coach, now, before Pickens gets wasted.
Maybe DJ and AB are just naturals......the others need actual coaching.

Maybe...

Or JuJu was just immature while here...and worried more about his bike than what his coach was telling him..
Claypool has the physical ability to run good routes.... but didnt put the time or effort in
Washington had the want to...but not the physical capability to.

I hear this narrative on the vidcasts a lot. If PIT's coaching was to blame, why were all of those WRs more productive in PIT than where they went? I think Sanders is the only WR from Tomlin's teams that had better numbers after he left.

I think Ben had a lot to do with that

I don't know what anyone saw in this dude, he was always right next to the guy covering him, his catch radius was nothing special, and his hands were good, but nothing to write home about. I was shocked he stuck here as long as he did.

Eh, we have been a WR factory for years now, and I don't think of all the issues we've had anyone could say WR is one of them. Claypool didn't know how to run routes? Well, the ******* Bears sure as **** aren't going to teach him, are they? I mean, how many weeks does it take, cause he sure as **** isn't lighting it up there.
