Hi everyone,

Just some random thoughts from a true independent voter.
Quick background and for full disclosure and b/c I think it's important to understand....
Most recently I voted for Gore, Bush, Obama, Romney....did not vote in last election. (was out of country and too late for absentee)

Things are in a state of perpetual turmoil fueled by ridiculous, blatant, over-the-top partisanship.
It is, 100%, the root cause of what's dividing our country and to me is the most troubling thing.
I really believe at the current pace, there will be some type of civil skirmish. Not an all-out civil war, but there will be heavy duty rioting where the military will need to take action.
That's how divided this country is.

Here's a simple test to see if you are truly an American or an ***-face partisan that's literally destroying our country...answer this honestly...
Do you want DJT to succeed as president?
(Meaning, at the end of 4 years - our economy is booming, our citizens are safe and have the resources they need to succeed on their own and America is not in jeopardy from foreign nations that wish to harm us)
The same question needs to be answered for when Obama was in office.

If you are so blind with hatred that your answer is not a resounding YES...I think you need to shut off the TV, stop reading twitter and re-evaluate your life.
You are 100% part of the problem.
If you say - DJT is a pig, he talked about grabbing women! and on and on...that's your opinion of his personality and you are welcome to it.
Almost every ******* boss or coach I ever had, that I personally hated - was a good leader and made the company or team better.

That said, the media is dumping gasoline on the fire and we are getting used for ratings.
CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS...all hyper-partisan trying to sway the people by failing to report accurately.
Is there fake news? Sure. But most of what I see is biased reporting by virtue of exclusion or selectivity. Leaving out key aspects of a report or ignoring topics completely b/c it doesn't fit the narrative.
It's disgusting. But people love the echo-chamber.

When called to the carpet, the only rationale given is ...well they did it to Obama!?!?!
So infantile.I used that excuse in 3rd grade.

Another question, for those stomping on everything Trump is trying to do...will you be OK having:
Riots in the streets / buildings being vandalized / cars being burned when the Dems take the presidency b/c, you know,...you did it to Trump?

I could go on and on but I am really curious how the country would be if Trump was allowed to put his policies in place.
Honestly, I want tax cuts, I want revitalized jobs in all areas, I want people back to work or at work for the 1st time and off gov't handouts where applicable.
I also want people in need to get it, i don't want people financially ruined bc they got sick
I want to country to be (as safe as we can) from terrorism
Is that such a bad thing?

I'd like to see President Trump organize his own group of speakers during white house press conferences, and video interviews, calling out these networks that are perpetuating stories with no sources, or acting like meeting with another foreign nation while running for an office is some sort of crime.

Bill Clinton rented out the Lincoln Bedroom to China, Obama was very cozy with Iran, who incase the media forgot poured in millions to the Hillary Clinton campaign.

I don't think the question is as simple as you state.

However, that does not indicate, IMLTHO, that the President "succeeded". Specifically, it is my belief that, had Obama "succeeded" in getting all of his policies into actual law, none of the above would have happened. Therefore, "success" for The Big O would have not defined "success" for the economy or the country.

Some of Trump's stated policies, IMLTHO, would actually result in the above, but, only, again IMLTHO, if those policies actually shrink the size of the federal government. "Replacing" Obamacare is one of the policies that ain't going to do that. We haven't seen any tax cuts, which would be the stimulus that is, really, needed.

I actually thought of this a while back. Its a clear analogy to politics.
There are plenty of people (on both sides) that don't care if we succeed as a country, they desperately want to be right (Win)... even if that ultimately means the demise of the greater good.

This is not a difference of opinion on how we should reach a shared goal for the country. The goals of the left and right are now diametrically opposed. want to add this. It is not even the violence so much as the unbridled hate and viciousness of the rhetoric that is widespread even when there is no violence.
