cuts

The Steelers have made nine cuts. Rodney Dangerfield, CJ Goodwin, Lew Toler, Jordan Hall, Devin Smith, Kashif Moore, Eric Waters, Miguel Maysonet and Vic So'oto

Sad to see Dangerfield and Waters go- hopefully they have PS eligibility

Dangerfield and Waters were the ones getting good reviews earlier in camp from the twitter updates and whatnot....

Wow - Waters, Moore, So'oto, Dangerfield . . . would have called 2 or 3 of those guys bubble players, and certainly all of them practice squad candidates.

Cant keep them all, sometimes you have to part with guys who might develop... its why the league needs a minor league...Lots of these guys loooked good to the masses, though it would seem Dangerfield got no respect from the team... ;)....

I'd have kept Waters over Landry

So some guys that looked good in preseason were cut. Yet Jarvis who as I understand has not looked good in preseason or regular season is still on the team.

Yeah but thats kind of a lets be realistic thing. The team invested a first round pick. Short of being team cancer or committing a homicide he would not be released after one full season. Unless he can really turn this around, which I sincerely hope he can, he will fade away like Hood not getting the second contract.

Steelers trying to be coy. Don't want to show case Dangerfield waters etc Thursday. They'll be back on the PS

Jarvis "Alonzo Jackson" Jones will not be cut, no matter what he does for the next 2 or 3 years. That would mean that the pick was not a solid first round pick.

It's like buying a car with definite potential, but you finally come to realize that it really needs an overhaul and a lot of time, money and patience to get it back to pristine condition for the road. Eventually, you realize it's a lost cause and you sell it to someone that may have more time and money to invest in the project or you give it away to get it out of your garage or front yard.

? So you really expected them to cut a 1st round pick before he plays a regular season game this year? Drafting him that early, only to see him become an average player would suck, drafting him that early only to see him become an average (or even slightly above average) player for someone else would be a freaking train wreck.

Joe

Victor Butler was released. If he can get healthy, I bet he is a lot better than Carter. I know we wanted him last offseason, but he signed with the Saints instead.

I'd take Butler on this team. In my opinion, he's the best available option, and that obviously includes Carter.

Kion Wilson is available again.
get the band back together!

Originally I thought Waters had a chance but he's been out hurt for a couple weeks.

could be. appears he got caught up in a numbers game.

Fangupo cut, looks like big Dan will make the roster.
Ahh well, Myron Cope passed away a few years ago anyway. That would have been hilarity right there.

I'm not sure this comes at a surprise, some here have been saying he won't make the team. I just hope who was kept is actually better.

Salute the nation

I think Cam gets his spot.

you insensitive homophobic jackasses.

Michael Sam was NOT cut. Why doesnt that trump everything else?

Saw that coming. The only thing left is to see if they get a mysterious comp pick from the NFL next year. I'm betting they do.
You on the downlow, Doo.
