I thought the Oline had some growing pains, but they helped Ben drive for that game winner. Good teams win in tight situations bad teams lose. Steelers are somewhere in the middle. But I would rather win ugly than lose pretty.

I think it was more formation or at least as much formation as blocking. The 3rd and 1 where they had Ray-Ray a little wide brought him inside and the CB guarding him makes the stop for a loss. Move Ray-Ray to the sideline, best way to block a defender is remove him from the box. He is5'9" - 190 pounds soaking wet who is he going to block on inside?
 
ray ray owes Boz his job because if today the team had lost for sure he would be pink slipped tomorrow. I still think he should get demoted

He's a vet. Mike is very loyal to his guys.

Ray went full retard. Doesn't mean he needs to be fired. He just needs to take some lessons from Robert Downey Jr.
 
Ballage looked pretty good in preseason. Too bad we don't have Najee and Connor in the backfield. Too bad we rarely use a fb.

Agreed with everything except for Najee not having a great night. Had absolutely nothing to run behind most of the game and when he did find a crease, he hit it for the first down. Always fights and falls forward. Stat-wise it won't look pretty, but that's a special RB. Surprised he wasn't a little more involved in the passing game though, since they refuse to sling it even somewhat often anymore.
 
Interesting....Looks like the Steelers are in second place, one game behind the Ravens... What do you know about that?
 
I thought Ballage had a good run to make a first down but I'm not seeing him in the stats. Snell had two opportunities for 6 yards. Average of 3 YPC, not bad. I'd look to the defense before blaming the offense but old habits are hard to break..

the only thing I remember from ballage was a pass tothe flat for maybe 2 or 3 yards
 
I'm one of the biggest detractors of Najee (or any RB taken in the 1st round), but I was actually impressed by what he did with what he had tonight. He was clawing out extra yards on almost every run. Conner in his place would have had half the production.

Maybe that was it, but I think he grinded out the first down. So for his one chance tonight, he did his job.

Like I said in the prediction thread...the Barely win Steelers.
The Bears were clobbered by Tampa and the ****** Stains. Were beaten by 10 or more vs two other teams.

I'd be happy with just the latter....but nooooo, they gotta put us through this every week!

Now don't nobody reply with "just be happy we won" or "a win is a win"....I'm still very happy we won!
