There is a Georgia special election for the 6th congressional district seat (Newt's old seat) on June 20. Tom Price resigned to be Sec HHS. The democrats, particularly the CA crew, have gone all out promoting and funding this annoying kid, Jon Ossoff, to beat the solid but unexciting republican candidate, Karen Handel. One might think that a republican seat would be safe in Georgia, particularly when the democrat candidate brings this guy to mind..

..but this district is a little soft and vulnerable. Ossoff is getting tons of money from out of state, in particular from the Bay Area, and his commercials are much better than Handel's, making him seem like a fiscal conservative and her seem like an establishment crony. Her latest commercials are all about how she likes working for the people in her district - a reference to the fact that Osshoff does not live in his district, which nobody really cares about. On top of that, now she's got Paul Ryan "helping" her?
DUNWOODY, Ga. — House Speaker Paul Ryan urged a well-heeled crowd in suburban Atlanta Monday afternoon to back congressional candidate Karen Handel as the “one true choice” over her Democratic opponent in the hotly contested runoff election June 20.

“We need someone who’s tested and true,” Ryan said, criticizing Handel’s opponent Jon Ossoff for never holding government office before and for living just outside the district he’s running to represent. “We need Karen Handel.”

“There is so much at stake in this election right now — you have a big responsibility,” Ryan said.

The crowd of several hundred cheered when the speaker said he needed Handel in Congress to help repeal and replace Obamacare and reform the tax code this summer. Both Ryan and Handel stressed her background as the former secretary of state of Georgia and her previous experience leading a local Chamber of Commerce.

Conservatives don't believe anything Ryan says, and his endorsement only hurts her. I predict that we lose that seat on June 20.

Never holding a government office before...? The guy sounds great!!! 1 term limits for everyone and everything!!!

No he won't. That's a solidly conservative district.

Democrats always pretend to be conservative when they run. Why? Because if they told the truth about what they believe and what they want to do, they would not win ****.

Well, they would still win in Barbara Boxer/Maxine Waters-type districts, I guess. But not in 95% of districts in America.
