Dem Presidential Debate

Wait...

Bernie has a wife???

Bernie Sanders’ Wife May Have Defrauded State Agency, Bank

The wife of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders may have been able to use her clout to get away with loan fraud, nearly bankrupting the small college she was president of and collecting a sizable severance package in the process.

These revelations come amid growing speculation that Sen. Sanders, a self-described socialist who has blasted the U.S. government asan oligarchy run by billionaires and railed against the golden parachutes received by top corporate executives, will contend for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Jane Sanders was the president of tiny Burlington College in Burlington, Vermont for seven years, from 2004 until 2011. During her tenure, Sanders masterminded an ambitious expansion plan that would have more than doubled the size of the school. To do so, she had the college take on $10 million in debt to finance the purchase of a new, far more expansive campus. The move backfired massively, leading to Sanders’ departure from the college and the near-collapse of the institution.

According to Jonna Spilbor, an attorney who reviewed the document, “the college APPEARS to have committed a pretty sophisticated crime” by exaggerating donor commitments in order to secure financing for the deal.

Sanders’ role in bringing Burlington College to the brink of the abyss has been known for years.

Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com) - The National Taxpayers Union has issued its annual "Taxpayers Score," which rates members of Congress based on their fiscal voting records, and the group said one freshman senator stands out.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) "earned the dubious distinction of being the lowest-scoring member of the Senate in 2001, with a 3 percent [rating]," NTU said in its announcement.

"This is the worst score for a Senate freshman in their first year in office that NTU has ever recorded," the group added.

Clinton's fellow New York Democrat, Charles Rangel, was identified as the "biggest spender" in the House of Representatives, with a 6 percent score.

The "Taxpayer Score" is based on every roll call vote affecting fiscal policy, according to the group. The numerical rating is designed to serve as an indication of the commitment each member of Congress has, or does not have, "to reducing or controlling federal spending, taxes, debt, and regulation."

Why are you racist and hate poor people?

As far as the ratings go, the GOP debate on CNN drew 9 million more viewers than these bums got last night.

Cancel the rest of the Dem debates.

If Bernie is just there to defend Hillary and lick her feet, why bother?

Wow, didn't think you guys would get so nervous about the Dem's after a single debate. Must be shocking for you to see candidates debating each other intelligently and respectfully while focusing on the issues. Don't worry boys, Trump and Co will be back for an other round of bellicose ****-slinging, that'll get you fired up again. All the way up until the elections, when a Democrat will once again settle into the White House for the next four-to-eight years. So sad to see the GOP fall so far behind as far as presidential candidates. They have nobody but themselves to blame for allowing the far-righters to take over the party. You reap what you sow.

Tibs, the debate was horrid. Here is one shot of the debate, except for the African-American on the right. She crashed the debate, thinking it was her grandmother's birthday party:

85

Jesus, Betty White should enter the race, and go after the "young vote." Or the Dems should dig up FDR's corpse - it would reduce the average age of the candidates quite a bit, I have to think.

Bernie trying to get the Duggar vote?

They want every illegal vote they can get

I want to support states that are expanding healthcare and including undocumented children and others," Clinton said. "I want to open up the opportunity for immigrants to be able to buy into the exchanges under the Affordable Care Act."

That picture must be kind of like what the Romans saw before they were overrun.

You just ruined 21Steelers wet dream tonight.

You just ruined 21Steelers wet dream tonight.

You can not ruin this person's night. Those that were going to Vote for Hillary still will, NO MATTER WHAT. Same as those who will follow in lock step the minute the R's nominate Jeb Bush.

true

Hitlery could be slicing the heads off puppies on stage, shouting satanic verses and ******* herself with a crucifix and she'd STILL be the front runner for the Dems.

If the GOP manages to nominate Bush (I'm active in Republican circles at the county and state level and I know NO ONE who wants Jeb), I assure you the Libertarian candidate whoever that will be, will receive a record number of votes.

I thought the same with Mitt, I couldn't have been more wrong. Hope you're right.

What bothers me about this quote is how sadly accurate it is. In 3 sentences, you illustrated the plight of America.

Americans are more worried about being "right" or being "wrong." People want the horse they bet on to win, and it doesn't matter if their jockey cheated (aka, the *Patriots).

This is the Hillary-complex. Democrats want to win. Just like Republicans want to win. Hillary is their best candidate. Facts will not stand in the way of this desire. It doesn't matter if you can prove that Hillary pulled the trigger that put that bullet in Vince Foster's brain or if she and Bill really did orchestrate the deaths of 20 or more human beings. It doesn't matter if you can show that Hillary needed 3 attempts to pass the bar exam, or if she's taken bribes, or if she led to the massacre in Bhengazi, or whatever other heinous crimes, or that she's had no real accomplishments (whatsoever) in her political career. In the end, she is THEIR candidate. That is ALL that matters. And they want her to win. Character doesn't matter. Accomplishments don't matter. She is theirs and they will embrace her as if she is somehow Kennedy or FDR (though she couldn't be more light years apart). Like the *Patriots, they will justify her transgressions and illegalities, denounce her foes, parade in her dishonor, and shout in her defense...because "winning" is what matters, ethics be damned.

Sadly, it's the same on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

We are ******.

Oh please. "Issues" to you libfucks translates to "free stuff". The debate consisted of the same old DemocRAT song and dance of who can give away the most free stuff...and how many times does Hillary have to remind everyone that shes a woman?

Consider that the DemocRAT candidates consisted of 5 white men...while the Rep candidates were made up of 2 Hispanics, an African American, a woman, and the rest white...so who is more "diverse"?

Was reading a post of a cousin of mine on FB last night. He asked how Bernie Sanders planned on paying for the free college he promised. He used the example of Cal Berkely and USC. The combined enrollment of the two schools is close to 100,000 students. It would cost 6.8 BILLION dollars to pay for the "free education" for all those students. AT TWO SCHOOLS. Now he didn't say if it was 6.8 billion a year, but think about that for a minute. 6.8 BILLION for 100,000 students. I shudder to think of the total cost for every student.

He also didn't use a FB meme to prove his point- he calculated it out himself and based it on the costs THIS YEAR for a student.

The "free everything for illegals" stance aren't going to go over too well with most of the nation's voters. I'm nervous that it's the one thing that could give us President Trump.

Would you prefer President Clinton?

cut off aid to a few certain countries and college education for taxpayers is almost nil.

I read an article this morning about the debate that was not only well written ( IMO ) but from a democrats view. It's interesting because I am at an age where there are a lot of people I know that this next snippet describes.

She is right, of course, especially when she catches me talking about how I miss the “old Democratic Party.”

What do I mean by this? Not Clintonite “triangulation” or the countercultural loucheness of McGovern, but the party of FDR and Truman and Moynihan, the party that represented the aspirations and attitudes of working-class people, that saw America through the Depression and won the Second World War, the party of UAW men and Knights of Columbus and public works schemes.

Whatever else might be said of it, the Democratic is the more romantic of our two major parties. I suppose my affection for it goes back to early childhood, when I wore my Robin Hood Halloween costume to the supermarket and wondered why the Trix Rabbit was being denied his basic cereal rights.

Silly liberals. Robin Hood stole from the government and gave back to the people. He was Libertarian, not democrat.
