The NFL is is becoming the NBA. Top players swapping. Top players demanding their teams for trades. Giving up draft picks like they are meaningless.
It's not THAT bad. Not even close.
NFL players have nowhere near the leverage NBA players do.
I wondered last night what they could get for DeCastro. If a high second that would be pretty enticing. Probably wouldn't get that for a guard but I would jump on that or anything higher. I would then draft Trey Smith with the pick. Then you have two young good run stoppers. With original three picks I am drafting a T,C, and a RB. Then you have a O-line refurbished and a revamped running game. A pipe dream but my dream approach.Just once I'd like the Steelers to fleece someone the way the Rams got fleeced there. I get what people are saying about the contract but after this season they can cut Goff for 15 million. But people are right. Lions will still **** it up. Its often said what a great job Tomlin did keeping ABs bullshit under wraps. I still think they should have got full value for him before it became common knowledge.
My first thought was that it makes the Rams instantly better. But, does it really? And how old is Stafford again? Giving up all those picks, PLUS Goff? It may make the Rams better in 2021 (maybe), but giving up all those picks is going to bite them.
didn't he just throw 3 picks in the NFC Championship? the defense won that game for them
Or maybe I'm pissed (in hindsight) that we get a 3rd for AB, and plyers like Ramsey/Adams get multiple 1st rounders?? lol.
Too much to give up for Stafford.

I think both teams screwed each other. Does anyone get the impression that McVay and staff think they are the smartest people on the planet? Two number 1 and a third for Stafford, who by the way still has some gas in the tank, is just too much. Goff is an afterthought. The picks are what they were after. I wonder who is paying the 45 million guaranteed money? I am guessing this is why the Steelers don't go overboard with a lot of guaranteed money.
the Rams got ******...Stafford is not Manning...even the shell of Manning that went to Denver
and the lions will **** up the picks
Stafford is slept on a lot because he played for really bad teams. I mean really really bad teams. And yet, since coming into the league in 2009, he has more comeback wins than anyone with 31.Since this thread is back, how in the the world did Stafford’s status as a QB all of a sudden get elevated. Great QBs usually don’t have so many bad years regardless of the talent. I don’t think Stafford is anywhere as good as some are making him out to be.
