Does Roethlisberger retire or does he just leave the Steelers

Is it just me or is he stating he loves the Steelers and fans but this is his last game. But he keeps saying he has more in the tank. I mean a team like the Browns who are a decent qb away from being a real contender might kick the tires. I’d hate to see him in another uniform, but if the Browns with Roethlisberger kicked our ***** twice next year maybe Art the piece of Deuce would pull his cuck head out of Tomlin’s *** long enough to see what the majority of fans already know.
 
Ben will not be playing football in the NFL after he leaves the Steelers.He’s well aware of his limitations particularly his immobility which for years served him well to extend plays over and over. He’s retiring! The Browns had their chance 18 years ago but instead took Kellen Winslow Jr.
 
Well the same people reporting that it'll be his last season are the same ones reporting he is not interested in playing for other teams. So yeah he's either retiring or not leaving at all
 
The Browns? I know he's from Ohio, but c'mon, man.

I know which I'd choose. And it ain't with a bunch of smelly fat dudes on a snakebitten team in a lousy city.

Ben owes nothing more to this team, league, etc. He's done it all and should ride off into the sunset with peace of mind.

It definitely would be a big middle finger 🖕 to the Steelers but me as a fan of his would not be upset. I’d definitely root against him when we played but I would be happy for him to have continued success.
 
This is it for Ben. He won't officially say he's retiring because it's not his way of doing things. He wants to be remembered as a player who never quits and with the playoffs still a possibility, as limited as they are, his sole focus is trying to get the Steelers to the postseason. He also said he wouldn't come back if the Steelers gave him a call in the middle of the season.

As far as "in the tank" comments, he said he still has it in the tank "this week and next week." He knows he can't play a full season at the level he wants to play anymore. I also believe he told a reporter he wouldn't come back if the Steelers called him next year, so clearly he wouldn't sign with another team for a full season.
 
I almost threw up thinking of Ben in a **** stain uniform. If Ben went to another team next year I would root my *** off for him even if it was against us. It would be the greatest **** you to Tomlin and Art ll for what they did or allowed to be done to his career. with the right coach and an owner who gave a **** the name that would have been associated with the GOAT would not be Brady but Roethlisberger.

I'll save some of you the trouble of responding to this post. Yada Yada Yada not a true steeler fan, troll, band wagon jumper. awe **** it go ahead and add what you want.

I'd root for Ben too, just not if he played the Steelers. Like I'll root for Malkin when he eventually moves on from the Penguins, one way or another.

I can respect you for that Top and Ben is the only player I would every root for against the steeler. I would look at it as not actually rooting against the steeler but rooting for Ben, You know I am a true homer when it comes to Ben and If he were to play for another team I would root for HIM to get one more ring and show our owner and coach that he wasn't the problem they were.

actually that was a pretty damn good response, a hell of a lot better than I expected. and if it wasn't for us old timers giving **** to each other this place would not be the same.

Only wacky scenerio I could see besides the believable ride off into the sunset is lady retiring then Ben signing a one year Tampa contract. That would have to be contingent on lady leaving after the season though.
 
I think if the Steelers offered him an extension right now he’d play next year, but I don’t think he wants to uproot his family… plus if you were to another team you’d have to practice a ton to get back up to speed with everyone… so no more off days every week… learning another system from the ground up… meh i think he took enough hits already anyhow
 
as of now he would be our best option at qb if we fix the oline. I could see 1 last year with Ben running the offense the entire game.
If we do not fix the oline, thanks Ben for the last 18 years
