I actually like what the Jets did. They took two of the best safeties in the draft. I'd still try to pry Pryor from them if he is cheap enough. He could be a moneybacker.

Aren't they both mostly strong safeties though? Can Maye really play deep cover-1 to allow Adams to be Adams?

It is a big safety that plays at the LB level in place of a linebacker. Deone Bucannon is a $backer. He plays as an ILB at 210 pounds. Gives you coverage in place of a LB.

The Cards actually coined the term/role. They had some injuries and had Bucannon waiting in the wings behind better/more experienced safeties. He was the best option, slotted him in a the weakside ILB spot in the 3-4 and the $backer was born.

You are right. They really are not elite QB prospects. One is about as good as another.
