Draft Thread Rounds 2 and 3

Nice breakdown by round? I'm not that bold because the draft boards have varied a ton.

RB: Mike Washington Jr., Nick Singleton, Emmett Johnson, Roman Hemby, Eli Heindenreich
WR: Skyler Bell, Elijah Sarratt, any burner left
TE: Dae'Quan Wright, Tanner Koziol
IDL: Darrell Jackson Jr., Zane Durant, Kaleb Proctor, Tim Keenan III, Dontay Corleone
LB: Kyle Louis, Deontae Lawson, Harold Perkins Jr., Taurean York, Jaden Dugger
EDGE: Dani Dennis-Sutton
CB: Jermod McCoy (at some point, I'm taking a chance after learning details about his injury), Keionte Scott, Malik Muhammad, Keith Abney II, Will Lee III, Chandler Rivers
S: Kamari Ramsey, Michael Taaffee, Zakee Wheatley, Genesis Smith

So wondering who Steelers take in 2nd round if they get Lemon at 21. Keeping the Steelers at 47 after the trade up, look at the players drafted 47 to 75 and tell me whom you take to get a better result than Iheanachor and Bernard. I don't see a single offensive lineman who merits using pick 47 - literally none, and the few who might be possible make Iheanachor look like a finished product. So who then?

McNeil-Warren, I guess? So the OL gets nobody in the first two selections, meaning the plan is to send Broderick Jones to Lourdes and hope for the best. Oh, and never play Houston again.
Logic is not 'llowed 'round these parts...

If McCoy is there with our pick in the 4th. Get him.

Put him on the shelf this season and let him heal but the DB position will be a strong next year with JPJ, McCoy and Everette. If Samuels Jr. stays we'll be scary!!!

Everyone, without exception, is mostly wrong about the draft. It’s absurd to have conviction in your criticism of any pick.

I wasn’t hoping that they’d pick Allar, but I like that McCarthy obviously likes him.

No, he started 11 games at RG as a redshirt freshman.
No. He saw action in 11 games and I can't find what spots on the line those were but had 1 start in the Music City Bowl at guard.
2022 Honors -- Academic All-Big Ten... Dean's List student (2022 fall, 2023 spring). 2022 -- Saw action in 11 games, earning first career start at right guard in 21-0 Music City Bowl win over Kentucky... letterwinner.

I was thinking about this. I'm guessing they would have traded up again to take Max (or their highest OT if Max gone) as well as Lemon. Steelers had too many picks so they had to trade up at some point.

Well, with 20 picks before them today, at least one of these guys will still be on the board.
I would think they have to focus on the D, but BPA is the likely option here.

In my opinion, it has been a top shelf draft this year by Omar and crew. Every pick has been a reach.
