I see your #3 and will raise you a just make Sutherland 3 alone and Dumlin 4. Shiiittt, just leave 4 blank and put Dumlin 5 just for the goddamn hell of it!1. Noll
2. Cowher
3. Sutherland/Tomlin
Don't care how many .500 seasons Mike has.

I think first and foremost Art wants Tomlin to become the Steelers’ all time win leader. Should be getting close to that record but as far as I’m concerned he ranks third behind the Emperor Noll and William Cowher.
I will also add, I’ve never seen the board here almost to a man or woman be ready for the great Tomlin to move on with his life’s work.
Cowherd teams always played with fight to win..
Tomlinson teams are weak and they get fat paychecks…they don’t care as much as the guys did
Giving Heyward and Watt that much money is a joke!
He’s six games behind Noll in regular season wins, 14 if you count playoffs. If Rooney has any sense of history and the memory of Noll, he won’t let this happen.
I think it's the never a losing season that is the driving force at the moment. I'm kind of hoping if the Steelers don't get playoff wins this year, they have a losing record so the never a losing season thing can be put to bed (I still prefer getting to the AFC championship game). Hopefully if it is a losing season they blow the whole thing up (preferably including Art II and Tomlin, but it probably needs more than one losing season for Tomlin to be canned). All told I really think they’re just hoping to limp to that team all time wins record to hang their hat on. Kind of akin to that stupid feed AB the ball with short screen passes just to keep that stupid X amount of catches with X amount of yards. Kinda loses its luster to me if you have to force feed it and it doesn’t happen naturally in both cases
I wouldn't crown the Pats yet - they've had the easiest schedule in the NFL. Yes, they beat Buffalo, but apart from that they have played bottom feeders. Let's see how they go against the Bucs, Bengals (if they have Burrow), Ravens and the return Bills game (and playoffs if/when they make it).I think you have to look at the Pats and Packers situations. The Pats had unprecidented success. It looked like it dried up after Brady left and the sign stealer was gone. They cleaned house had a terrible year. Hired a good coach and are back in the real mix.
Packers let the guy who beat Tomlin in the SB go. Hes already gone again and they again play more legit contention.
Well clearly its a long way to go till they are in the real mix. But they are beating teams by 20. Its not like the Steelers when they are considered contenders beating **** teams by 12 and that'sa blowout for them. And never really pounding anyone. Cause there are no style points. Im here to tell you there are style points.I wouldn't crown the Pats yet - they've had the easiest schedule in the NFL. Yes, they beat Buffalo, but apart from that they have played bottom feeders. We can only hope!Im obviusly in the minority but Im gonna predict this is Tomlin’s last season. Im sure they will find a face saver. But I dont think he will be HC of the Steelers next year.
Bengals play the Pats November 23rd, Burrow wont be back until sometime in December, at the earliestI wouldn't crown the Pats yet - they've had the easiest schedule in the NFL. This... while moving on from Tomlin we might have a bunch of down years....as a fan I can live with that as long as you can the franchise growing...have a plan in place....moving forward. Yeah I might ***** and moan in these down years. That is just being a fan. Anything is better than trotting out the same lame thing week in and week out for years and expecting different results.Good article, but he didn’t go nearly far enough. The Pittsburgh media has to lose its fear of criticizing Mike Tomlin and call for his ouster. Every living, breathing human being can see where the problem lies and has lain for years. Yeah, the Steelers may fall into coaching purgatory for a while, and may be awful for a while. You can’t move forward if you’re standing still, and that’s what the Steelers are doing right now.
i'm fairly certain all of us would help Tomlin pack. Except @Steeltime - since he has a MT tattoo on his chest. The absolute best time to have fired him was when last season ended. Putrid and horrible product put out by him. We could have been starting over with a fresh, new coach like Ben Johnson.

Mikey has a losing record in the playoffs that no one wants to talk about. He's 8-11 overall and just 3-9 in the last 12 playoffs. That is embarrassing.Mike Tomlin and Steeltime ... both have never had a losing season! Also, over the past 8 years, Mikey and I have the same number of playoff wins.
Historic!
"Only had one losing season" will soon be the motto.
Mike Tomlin ... here to make football fans appreciate the greatness of Joe Flacco and to remind us that in the NFL, no lead is safe. Well, no lead with Tomlin running the show.
