I've given Tomlin slack in the past, but this team is a far cry from those that other teams hated to play. We scare nobody and some of that is due to Tomlin. His sideline behavior seems a little strange to me, as if he's watching as a fan or cheerleader, not coaching a team in the middle of battle against your division rivals.

With someone else's organization and talent. Achieved. Maybe even overachieved. Now that it is gone. There isn't an adjective to describe the under achievement.

As I stated in the game thread. The rats have 3 defensive players left from their SB 18 months ago. Tomlin has 3 defensive players left from Cowher's team 7 YEARS ago. People really don't understand how much Cowher's players contributed to his early success. In his only SB win his defense had 10 starters from Cowher's team. Hell right now going on 8 years since Cowher the best safety is still Troy. The best TE is still Miller. The best CB is still Ike, as bad as that is. The best DL is still Keisel. Not to mention still having a franchise QB. **** me.

The team has won 4 division titles, been to two Super Bowls and won a Super Bowl since Mike Tomlin has been coach. They have achieved.
Posting this poll when we are all pissed off is going to give a predictable result. Nice way for us to vent but has no validity at all

I wish I could live in the past. I really do. I wish I didn't need any reasoning or football logic to assume against hope that the last 33 games didn't matter, that a SB win from six seasons ago means something to our team going forward. I wish a playoff win from 2010 was all I needed to believe we're on the right track, and that our talent-starved roster will wake up tomorrow morning playing way beyond its historical ability. I wish I believed that every bad season just means we're rebuilding despite no apparent changes being made.
In other words, I wish 8-8 was good enough for me.
