Dylan Cook

There is no chance that we fill all of our needs

With a slew of picks and a lot of cap space there is zero reason they can’t. Teams turn things around completely in 2 years in today’s NFL and the Steelers are in position to strike in free agency and the draft.

Will the FO get it right? That remains to be seen but they are in excellent cap and draft capital position to revamp this roster very quickly.

It’s the offseason and Mike is gone!!!
Anything is possible.

I Would feel better if we remodeled the whole house and Dan took over for Art too, but I guess ya can’t always get what ya want.

Have a feeling Pierre may have played his way outta town and into a big contract.

It only takes one team to take that chance and he came on strong last year.

Not even sure how much he should command, do you believe the earlier years or how his play ascended in his smaller sample size last year?
I want to squeeze him somewhere in between. Give him a return with a slight raise but nothing too crazy…

Safety should be a pick within that first group of 5 picks, definitely should be a priority this draft.

Could see a playmaker type earlier (day1-2) and a banger to backup Deshon later on day 3.

What they do with Pierre as far as resigning or not could push CB up the priority list as well.

With needs at QB, WR, T, G, DL, LB, CB and S it’s a good thing they have a slew of picks.
The sweet spot for safety seems to be in the 2nd or 3rd round this year. I could also see one of those guys push up into the late first.

I can't imagine Pierre would command too much. He's approaching 30 and has a very small sample size of high-level play.

Cook only got worse because our OL coach at the time began coaching him.
Can he be a LG if we draft a LT?

Mauigoa, Fano, Prcotro, Lomu and Freeling are the top LTs in the draft. All are immediate and long term prospects.

keep in mind that the current coaching staff has as very little loyalty to the roster and previous draft picks. Anyone could be replaced. With the current huge question marks at QB and LT, I'd consider LT the bigger need. If you can't protect the QB, then it doesnt matter who the QB is. As such, if we go LT - Proctor, Lomu or Freeling will be there at 21. All are at the same height, but Proctor is heaviest.

Proctor and Lomu were LTs in college. Freeling was RT. That would remove Freeling from the equation for me.

Proctor and Lomu are 1 and 2. In that order.

Thank You Supe, I’ve been advocating trench workers. Our OL is but one pick away from being top notch and I’m willing to invest immediately if need be.

Don’t settle for a 2nd tier player or one that hasn’t played LT. Draft a player for the position he is going to play.

Offensive investment, both $denar$ and draft capital.

That defense being the highest paid and top investment of the past, should be just that….. in the past.

Salute the nation

It is why I don't put QB that high this year. Fix the other areas first run it back with the old man and get Howard some looks to see what if anything he has.
