Edmunds signs with Eagles

Out of the three Guards they signed, only one (Seumalo) will start, the others are solid depth. I believe the Steelers are happy with Dan Moore where he is but the fact that they addressed getting Dotson out of the Starting line-up but did nothing to address Chuk's is a head scratcher. But, what if Steelers plan to draft an OT and slide Moore over? I really believe the Steelers will address the OT position with one of the first two picks.

I do hope you are right on this And it is a very good scenario as well.

IMO, the cog left for the OL is at LT.

Broderick Jones is our guy, if he falls to us.

Really will be interesting if T,CB,SS,DE and WR value is = come 17.

I would lean Jones but yeah will be interesting who they take...

I think when comparing the fabulous five SS falls off the quickest after Branch...

Mine as well. That is my big concern, with the defensive needs and the OL signees, thay may just skip over him........ similar to CREED when weapons were needed instead of OL investment.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

well, i've seen where they are high on Mazi Smith from Michigan - so that tells me they're not overlooking anything.

and, this is Khan's first draft. so we'll hopefully miss the sprints to the podium.
Ideally, we can get Jones, then Branch, then Mazi Smith or some other run clogging fire hydrant in the middle of the DL.

Nice post, BGB. Smith does a good job of taking on double teams and still doing his job. He missed a couple of tackles. When he was singled, he beat the blocker the majority of the time.

DB, WR, LB, LB with our first 4 is trending towards my current prediction of where they go

And I’ll be speechless as we pass on a 10-12 year starting LT

I hope we get this one right
Slot corner and slot receiver are the two biggest holes on the roster right now. Lesser roles in two premium positions. Given the idea they want to become a power running team, it feels like they're getting ready to load up on defense and try to win low-scoring games.

Which is incredibly smart to do with a back who can't seem to stay healthy.

Those three and in that order……….. would be a three point home run, with no one actually on base !!!!

CA3 and Miller will vie for that slot receiver role. IMO, we're good there.

Their biggest hole is OC. He has already proven his L-O-W scoring offense.

The Titans have shown that low scoring isn’t the answer. You have to be able to put 30 on the board if you expect to win it all. Currently we will be able to put just enough to put 20 on and keep the undefeated season in tact.

My biggest fear is they are building to accommodate the OC instead of the team.

I've heard about Miller for two years now and have seen nothing from him. Austin is a guy I want to like, but this team has had too many tiny NFL player failures over the years for me to be too confident that he can handle the role.

So here is the part that pisses me off. They paid WJ3 2.75m to go to a couple practices last year but they can't top the 2 million the Eagles are paying Edmunds. Like I don't care. That's just stupid.
I could understand it if an option was sitting there and brought in. But here they sit with no replacement in sight. I don't like the idea of seeing what is available in the draft then bottom barrel an option if they don't find the value they are looking for. They should have attacked the position just like they attacked corner, guard, and ILBer.

If say they are a team that needs only one or two players maybe that will fly, but on a team like the Steelers that have a band of a hand of needs I think that is a potential mistake. And let's not pretend the position is as costly to address as others, it's not.

I like what they have done this free agency, but let's attack all of the weaknesses not just some of them. And just as important do it in a timely manner where you won't be tempted to pick SS over an equal or less value position just because you failed to do the above mentioned.

Haven't read this thread but I'm a Hokie so I am mildly disappointed, Thought he was doing well actually,

^^^^^^^^100%^^^^^^^^^

There is talk that Peterson may be used in the S form. He is older and possibly slowed, so it could make sense…….

I think Peterson is left at his natural position and we do find the safety help we need.

Then you would need a corner or two. Which they could bring in another free agent corner to lessen that concern. I think they are content to hit the draft and see who they get. But the free agent well might just dry up by then. I hope they aren't too thirsty.

Who said that Edmunds was bad first round pick and was against the trade up to land Bush?

<<<<<<<<
When did you say that? A month ago? Yes, we should all bow before the unbelievable intellect of Captain Hindsight. Shut up douche, no one cares
